Sci-Fi Black Mirror (Science Fiction anthology TV Show)

Wow something was definitely lacking with this season. I didn't think it was bad though and while I did enjoy enough overall it's pretty weak in comparison to the past seasons IMO. If I could say anything really positive about it it's surely the acting and especially the performances in the first two episodes from Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen Andrew Scott and Topher Grace were all pretty fantastic specially given the weak material they had to work with. It was also pretty cool seeing Franklin from Snowfall in this, and I honestly had no idea the dude was a Brit.

That Miley Cyrus episode was easily the weakest of the bunch, but I at least found it entertaining, although I can see why most wouldn't.

I think the problem with a show like this is that there’s always the risk that they will run out of ideas. I’m not sure that they are there yet but Ashley Too was definitely scraping near the bottom of the barrel. I also though Bandersnatch was a massive letdown. It had me going for a while but when they inserted Netflix into the story, I couldn’t take it seriously.

So Black Mirror would actually be an improvement on existing conditions?

tbh I wouldn't mind distracting myself with more Black Mirror. (Make it season 1-3 quality, please)

I'm almost game for more Black Mirror, however, last season was easily the worst.

Season 4 has two of the best episodes as well.

Haven't seen Season 5 or the movie yet.

And here we go...

2020: A year so [insert adjective of choice here], even the creators of Black Mirror couldn’t make it up… but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a little something to add. Death to 2020 is a comedy event that tells the story of the dreadful year that was — and perhaps still is? This landmark documentary-style special weaves together some of the world’s most (fictitious) renowned voices with real-life archival footage spanning the past 12 months.

"Research shows that the virus could pass from humans to icons and that raises the possibility that it might one day effect god, and god is older than the universe, which puts him in the high risk category."

I'm done!
:woo:

Nope. Nope. That quote has been outdone by this one:

"I live on my own and after a while I got so lonely that I developed multiple personality disorder on purpose so I could keep myself company".

:wowe:

Last season was a disappointment, but still good.

I started last season and couldn't even finish one episode of it. I started each of them and just stopped each one like 5 minutes in. And I used to eat this show up. I even liked Bandersnatch!

Death to 2020 gave me Documentary Now! vibes, which isn’t a bad thing. I’d love to see this done every year.

It was Brooker doing his anti-viral wipe BBC show for Netflix.

Brooker has been doing satirical shows like these for years. I thought the Karen and Trump supporter characters were good parodies.

Hugh Grant was definitely playing a version of bigoted historian David Starkey. Starkey used to make historical shows for the BBC and has a history of racist outbursts.

I didn't care for Death to 2020 at all. It was occasionally funny but mostly a dud.

But I did go and rewatch Hated in the Nation again and that episode still holds up.
