The guy at the end ("in time out" as Dog Lips says) - he was like that because part of the story that was told was that the Blair Witch would make the other kids turn their back while she killed their friends one by one. Thats why Heather freaked out when she saw him like that. Pretty nice touch really. Creepy.

Also, there was no script for the actors to use. These three people were given cue cards to each scene and how it would begin and end. Then they would act out the scenario from the cards.
The idea to never see what was chasing or hunting these campers down was intentional.

Let me give you an example of just how stupid people can be.

In Canada, I believe it was, this Goth dude who looked like the singer from Type O Negative, was on trial for killing his girlfriend.
He said it wasn't his fault because they had both just watched Blair Witch. He went on to explain that it was the last video document of some college students who were killed by the spirit of the Blair Witch, it was proof of the supernatural!

and after watching it, an evil presence filled the room and he became posessed by the real-life Blair Witch which forced his hand to kill his beloved girlfriend even though he didn't want to.

Reminds me of the story about the guy that got killed reading a magazine in the middle of the street after watching the Program, that scene has never seen the light of day since, which sucks 'cause it was a really cool scene.

Weren't there people who tried to copy cat Mickey and Mallory from Natural Born Killers too?

I really think some movies should require IQ tests, rather than an ID to enter. However, something was gonna get these people anyway.

It was a very well crafted film. You have to take it for what it is. And for what it is, it's a great film.

The best thing that the filmmakers did was not showing anything. Such a smart move. It was very interesting, I thought. The whole idea they had going on.

What's the sequel like? I've never seen it.

A few things before I stop derailing Clerk's beautiful offspring:

1. Wilhelm: You missed a Tukiluka conversation.
2. Morg: You should love me for ultimately causing Tuk to delete the majority of that initial post. Also, once he had censored himself, there wasn't a need to delete that post. He had a valid point.
3. Regarding vulgarity: The most vulgar thing I can recall saying late last night was the "P" word. If it is so offensive, why is it not censored? Don't tell me it's because it has legit uses, because some overzealous mod locked a Toven thread for using it to refer to her feline.
4. I'm jealous of the cheap bastards who made Blair Witch. They make that and rake in the dough, while I go to class. Damn them all.
