Iron Man 2 bleeped strong language

i just seen a tv spot that said "contains bleeped strong language"

I thought i had misread it but i looked on online and seen others ranting about it seriously wtf

the the film is a 12a why are they bleeping movies now

The movie as such isn't actually bleeped.

This isn't really a spoiler, so I hope no one minds me saying it.

It's when Tony is at the Senate hearing. The scene is done so that it's viewed as a television broadcast from a channel. There's some swearing during the hearing, so the channel that's broadcasting Tony's hearing bleeps it.

I think those ranting must have misunderstood the context of that particular part of the scene; i.e. that it was flipping between being viewed as a television broadcast and viewing the scene as if you were actually there.

thanks for clearing that up and i can understand why it was used

I think the ones ranting are in the same boat i was, it's being used as a warning about the film but if it's something like you said why the warning it's not needed

it's like saying this film contains mild violence and partial nudity, because black widow has a low cut top.

it's just being over cautious for the sake of it

Yeah, we saw that all the way back last summer in the leaked SDCC footage. I always suspected they'd use the TV coverage angle as a clever way of making it work, and it seems that they did just that.

Yeah, I remember that clip and I figured that would be the way to get around it. They can't say F-bomb you in a PG-13 movie, so it's a clever way to get the point accross and maintain the rating.
