So according to my father the Right are calling Jacob a pedophile.
I swear if he wasn't Hades.

It's almost as if he didn't even know the man chasing him (after he had already murdered one person) was armed and just opened fire indiscriminately because that was what he came there to do. Kill protestors. The Right had already been saying to do it online. Then Trump drops "Looting Starts/Shooting Starts." Then the RNC makes the McCloskeys heroes. And now they've successfully radicalized a 17-year-old into committing a double homicide and are trying to make him a hero.
????
No one owns a crap ton of guns to protect themselves. They own them to feel powerful and because they want to use them. And when the cops and political figures of the time are patting you on the back, that need and power trip just gets bigger and bigger. It's almost as if he didn't even know the man chasing him (after he had already murdered one person) was armed and just opened fire indiscriminately because that was what he came there to do. The constant bull**** willful ignorance we've seen directed towards protests from Day One is mind-numbing, depressing and coldly infuriating but it's expected. But this crap? This hurts on a different level. I seriously thought the Right wouldn't stoop this low, but they've broken through bedrock and opened up a whole new level of awfulness. And I'm so scared for everyone braving the streets to protest, because now that its begun, I have absolutely no doubt these aren't going to be the last victims.
Again, who isn't to say that BLM protesters or whoever isn't doing that. There are plenty of these protesters who are doing clean ups of riots, speaking out against violence, doing what you said about blocking looters, etc. So if the protesters are doing that why does it need to be said that they need to police themselves. They are doing that.
Besides many, if not most, of the looters and rioters aren't "in their midsts". They're outside provocateurs or opportunists. They aren't apart of, among, or in the midsts of the BLM protesters. They're people who are either trying to shift the narrative and stoke the flames of the alt-right and detractors of the BLM protests. Or they don't care either way and are using the opportunity for their own gain. They're not a part of the BLM protests anymore than say a vulture picking the corpse of a lion is part of that lion's pride
Well, that is what happens when we have a peak consumerism culture that cares more about corporate property than justice. And also when we teach a white-washed version of history that covers up the truth of civil unrest and protests in relation to movements and how members of the public reacted to them. Oh, and also when the media only covers protests that turn violent, instead of the hundreds of purely peaceful protests happening every day.BLM approval went from 61 approve and 36 disapprove to 48 each.
The gap between the public's perception of mostly peaceful and mostly violent is now closing.

So what are the chances the kid pleads guilty, admits he's done the wrong things and expresses genuine regret publicly?
So many wasted lives all over at this point.
The protest shooter in Kenosha is only 17 years old let's remember. I know we maybe can't process his humanity at this point much... But I do think it is a shame he made the choice to wrapped up in the political psychodrama on the Reactionary Right.
Here is footage of him before the shooting. Listen to him:
He's a wide eyed enthusiastic KID. Oddly, he seems to have his heart in the right place, relatively speaking. We can argue about his politics or how he views Racism, BLM police shootings, whatever, but he sounds engaged, aware, and he wants to "help". He talks about being armed but also how he has a First Aid kit.
Problem is, him and most folk taking to the streets armed to "send a message" or defend property shouldn't have been encouraged by various corners of society and media, old guard and online, to do this in the first place and LEOs shouldn't have so casually looked the other way about groups of armed people injecting themselves into an already explosive situation.
It still feels very hazy exactly what happened to have this kid shoot not one but three people and kill two.
Not only are the two people he shot dead but I have a feeling so is any chance he had of a normal life, possibly even a prison sentence.
And all because he made the choice with all the limits a 17 year old psych has to believe in all the Romanticized Reactionary and yes, Racist bull**** peddled non-stop by everyone from Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Tucker Carlson, Jessie Watter, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, Ben Shapiro, Laura Ingraham and the rest of the Bull**** Moutain All-Star team, and oh yes... The current sitting President of the U.S.
