What would you consider yourself to be? My family is pretty much middle class, as my dad has been a steel mill worker since the 70s and is that gruff, steak and eggs type guy, you know. Dirt under the fingernails from a hard day's work and what not. We share the same likes as far as movies, comic books and what not, but other than that we're pretty different, as I'm more of a corporate casual dork to be honest. :o

I was white collar for most of my 20's, now I'm blue collar. I don't fart or scratch, and I don't drink Pabst, I'm the uppity blue collar type.

I'm Blue Collar but wanna be White Collar, cause I think i'm better then most.:o Yes, I know i'm a wannabe snob or D*ck.

I don't think labels are necessary, but they can be fun - so, I didn't chose the last option.

I'm definitely a little bit of both.

White collar, and I will be forever.

Tried being blue collar for a few months... needless to say it was a disaster.

I think I'll always be a blue collar guy. I live in the south so that's pretty much the norm down here. Work hard, drive trucks and make babies. It's what we do.

Blue collar all the way. I work in a factory making golf balls. :p

I'd have to say a little of both. I have an office job but not the normal kind with a suit & tie. It's a specialized field ( mental health ) but not one in which a person gets rich.

Personally, I lean towards yuppie interests. I'm a coffee house ( never had a beer ) guy that prefers books and plays to monster trucks and hunting. However, I can scream and fart at football games with the best of them.

So, somewhere in the middle.

I come from a white collar family so.....yeah.

I work in retail so, no collar. Though most of my work includes moving heavy things and using machinery like balers, compactors and a forklift.
After I get my degree I hope to be white collar though and pick up a programming job, somewhere, anywhere really.

What does being a builder count as? Is that blue-collar?

I'm happy doing what I do, theres nothing like having a laugh with the lads on site or that feeling you get when you finish a job. I have thought about getting into office work during this recession because there ain't a lot of building work about, but if I was cooped up in an office all day I think i would go crazy! :D

I work in a parking lot at Walmart for 1 year and 5 months as of next month. Rain, cold and heat, doesn't matter, have to work. Cart Pusher

Before that I was at Andy's cooking food...

Then Heny's Tackle..which is a big warehouse full of fishing supplies and stuff. We ship stuff out of there.

So, yeah blue collar. Even though I like to drink the sissy beer (Smirnoff Ice and Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay)

Also was a construction worker for a day....had to clean up an entire contrunction yard by hand. Sucked.

Screw em both. I go with teal collar, and a red one on the weekend.

I don't see white collar or blue collar, because I'm collar-blind

Hm, well right now I'm very blue collar but I want to be white collar.

A little of both, I guess.

My dad started off blue but now owns his own business so he is white collar. My mom is also white collar and I have a degree and hope to go to med school so I would say I am white collar if/when I get a real job and not get you through college part time jobs.

I'm A Blue Collar guy that loves micro-brew beer!

Hmmmm....fartin' and scratchin' maybe, but there's not one alcoholic drink, beer or otherwise, in my fridge. Never been into beer anyway. The taste is just....too bitter and it assaults my taste buds. I'm more into fruity drinks like Wine Coolers, when I do drink alcohol.
