Bohemian Rhapsody

@ SuperFerret :hehe: :awesome:

JP, yeah I think most lip-syncing which sucks. I'd really like to see if Cohen can do the singing himself.

It's all relative. Try to only be bitter in bitterer company. Also be reasonable about your bitterness, eventually a crackpot will come along and make you look sane.

That said, I'm surprised that Majik is taking the brunt of this while I flat out said that I don't like the fact that Cohen is still alive without any hint of irony.
lol I'm not even bitter and that just means...that I shouldn't be judging Majik.

I apologize for my harsh early judgement Majik. Some people on here are bitter A-holes with terrible taste in well...everything! But I haven't paid enough attention to your posts to judge you in that fashion.

As for my opinion on the casting:

I'm taking a wait and see attitude about Cohen playing the lead. He could be great, he could not be. I just don't know right now.

No idea who could play Brian May.

Don't even.

If only Doug Jones were 20 years younger. Has the right face/height/build.

I already have one of those, bro man dude bro.
Fine! Be that way! I don't need you! Rarrrrghhhgh!:cmad:

No harm, no foul. Cohen is just terrible in everything I've seen him in and it upsets me that he's cast as one of my favorite musicians of all time.

I can't wait for the rest of the casting! :awesome:
Can't get any worse....:awesome:
Russell Brand! :awesome:
:awesome:..........:csad:
But at least he's funny.

He's funny in the way that you would need to change the definition of "funny".

He is in his stand-up, not really in Sarah Marshall or Get Him to the Greek

I don't hate him but I think that he is very annoying and just too manic for my taste. I don't get his appeal.

:whatever:
Go back to making doodles if you're just gonna be an idiot resorting to personal attacks because you have nothing to support your opinion.

Fine, I'll play the role of the "bitter poster who doesn't like anything" if it makes you guys feel better about yourselves and stops your whining when someone disagrees with you.

Quit it, please. :whatever:

It's been done danoyse, and JP is the one who initiated personal attacks, not me.:whatever:

yeah he wasn't big he was 5'9 Sacha being 6'3 will be kinda weird lol

I wasn't talking about height really but weight and I know he was skinny at certain points but i've seen pictures where he looked fairly ripped, his arms looked meaty.

Don't most biopics, sans Walk The Line, have the actors lip sync?

Did Val Kilmer lip sync in The Doors? I can't remember.

If he's not at Freddy's level, I'd rather he not even try singing on camera. Just sick with Freddy.

He could probably sing in some scenes, but I mean, next to no one is on Freddie's level vocally, and I wouldn't expect Sasha to be.

i think he'll pull it off vocally. that falsetto he hit in Sweeney Todd was amazing, as a singer (not professional, but i'm familiar with the mechanics) i can tell just by that he has a fantastic range.

I seriously doubt he'll be singing. And the note in Sweeney was dubbed.

I would've gone with Mika or Toby Kebbell...

Since I love Queen, I'm gonna give Borat the benefit of the doubt on this one.

This could be his chance to prove himself as a serious actor. I would be very surprised if he does his own singing, though. There are few professional singers today who can reach Freddy's range, and if Cohen can actually pull it off maybe he should consider moonlighting as a musician.

I'm surprised that the movie will not be covering Mercury's death, though. The way he went out was very sad and shocking, since he announced his illness only one day before his death. There was plenty of drama in his life to write a story about without covering his last days, though.
