If Paul Blart can make this much, one can't help wonder how much money one of Hollywood's big budget summer blockbusters could make being released in January. Which in turn makes one wonder, again, why they have to release almost all the big movies in summer.

Americans have lost their taste in good movies

Fox came in third...I thought they had a horrible year???

The numbers for the studios are what they've made this year so far, and Fox had a strong start with Taken, Bride Wars and the December release Marley and Me still going strong in January

It seems most movies are well exceeding comingsoon's expectations.

Taken has done extremely well. I still haven't been able to see it but I'm really looking forward to and I'm happy for its success!

Already two movies over $100 million. Normally you get one, two or maybe three movies making that much pre-summer, but if the March-releases makes as much as expected we could have up to five movies over $100 million before summer kicks off. Or even more if any of the releases in April makes that much.
