CALABASAS, Calif. – Three boys have been arrested for investigation of bullying red-haired students after a Facebook message promoted "Kick a Ginger Day" at a Southern California school.

Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday that two 12-year-olds were arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor battery, and a 13-year-old was booked for misdemeanor cyberbullying. They were released to their parents.

A total of eight boys are suspected in the Nov. 20 attacks on seven students at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas.

Authorities believe the shoves and kicks were prompted by a message referring to a "South Park" episode satirizing racial prejudice.

Nobody was seriously hurt.

A message left for the school superintendent was not immediately returned.

I wonder if Matt and Trey will make an episode on this seeing that they influenced it.

Hand in hand we should live together. Ginger or not we're all the same...

It's horrible that Kick a Ginger day is on my birthday. I'm a Ginger :csad:

That said, I don't mind Ginger jokes directed at me, because more often than not they're hilarious. The kicking goes too far, though.

For the Australian contingents...

"Sorry Ben...

... Motherf***er! *Punches Rangas arm*"

One of the hottest black girls I've ever seen has naturally-red hair. It's awesome.

I'm only interested in "Bang a Ginger Day".

are you a red-headed step-child? :awesome:

I'm not sure which part of this is funnier.

And where was that cop responsible for the Facebook drinking sting for the whole time?

*ahem* Not to be nitpicky but the thread title is Boys arrested for "Kick A Ginger Day" Attacks. What didn't you get about arrested?

Children in Arkansas - Boycotting the pledge for gay rights
Children in California - Kicking gingers

Just... wow.

I've kicked a fair share of gingers in the day, kinda overrated :/

At least ''Be nice to a ginger day'' is the day after.

Soon Manic will have nowhere to go. :csad:
Well, Arkansas might be the new place to go for tolerance in a couple of generations. I'll just have to hold out and hope their property values never match ours.

They would've gotten them before they hurted the red-headed kids.

Arrested for Intent to Kick Ginger Americans.

:lmao:

They would've gotten them before they hurted the red-headed kids.

And do what? Predict the future and arrest them for something they were going to do? Guard the ginger kid? This isn't Minority Report. Cops don't generally have the ability to prevent laws from being broken except in cases where there's a possibility of them being broken again.

Look at it this way, those kids won't be kicking any more gingers. Once again gingers can sleep peacefully thanks to the men and women of their local law enforcement agency.

Sense of humor is directly linked to amount of melanin. Case in point, Richard Pryor.

Could it be considered a hate crime to beat someone up based on the fact that they are ginger?
