Jim Caviezel could pull off both Bruce Wayne and Batman! Watch The Person of Interest and The Count of Monte Cristo. I've been fan-casting him for twenty-one years. It's not going to happen. But I want someone who can play the role. And that's Jim. He has proven time after time.

He's too crazy, they're not gonna touch him with a 100ft pole.

Why not just keep Michael Keaton? Why not bring back Tim Burton to direct?

If this was 2005, I could understand the suggestion even if I don't like it, but aside from him being, how should I phrase this.. too loud with some of his views as @Venom 1988 suggests, he's way too old.

If everything goes positively for Gunn's DCU & in an ideal world I'd like Batman to have a trilogy of his own stories within the DCU as well as sticking his nose into a few other characters movies, you're talking potentially a 10 year commitment, by which point he'd be in his mid-60's.

A full on belated, third Keaton Batman movie could be a huge deal. Tim Burton directing it would probably assure it absolutely was not a big deal. Burton hasn't showed signs of life as a filmmaker for twenty years.

I'm not sure. Outside of Tom Gun: Maverick, I can't think of any other legacy sequels that hit off with general audiences.

Maybe a Batman Beyond movie with Keaton would've done very well. But a full on sequel to Batman Returns? I don't think the market is there.

Creed is one of the big ones, not like they're mega insane blockbuster hits like Maverick (even though they're all better than Maverick) but they're still successful. The SW sequels as well, but they're kind of in their Own League being Star Wars and all.

In no realm of reality would that have been successful.
Yep, especially after this last week. The Flash is one of the biggest box office disasters of all time.

I'm betting whoever gets cast as Batman is most likely in their early to mid 30s right now.

I hope not as I don't think anybody in that age range is even remotely fitting, exciting or interesting for this.

I’m sorry but that dude would be the most underwhelming choice for Batman. Not a fan of that idea at all.

Looks-wise I get it but the more I've seen of his acting... yeah, looks are literally all he has lmao. It's not even that he's bad, it's just that none of his performances give "Batman" or "Bruce Wayne" and doesn't seem to have that much range either.

Watching Infinity Pool and idk why but I’m finally starting to see Alex Skarsgard as Batman…

I think I like him more as Lex though

Yeah, that guy was one of my early suggestions for Batman. But I've since soured on him a bit, as nothing he's done professionally convinces me that he'd actually be good in the role.

Honestly, scratching my head trying to think of actors who might make the shortlist.

As Batman's age in this film seems contingent on Superman's in Legacy, I'm very curious where Gunn's head is at now that he finally has his Superman.

I think it's reasonable to conclude Gunn will cast someone between 3 - 5 years older than Conrenswet. By the time Brave and the Bold comes out, the actor will probably be in their late 30s.

I really don't think it's that contingent on Superman's age at all; but it's hard to gauge since Gunn remains elusive on the subject.
