Brave and the Bold Casting Thread

Nosferatu could not look better visually and Eggers is the most interesting, unique, linguistically gifted screenwriter in film today.

I think it's his most generic looking movie so far, which disappoints me as I really loved The Lighthouse's look and was kinda looking forward to seeing what look he crafted this time around.

I completely fail to see how it is generic looking. It looks of a piece with The Witch and The Northman visually. A lot of Eggers style is also in the tone and flow and pace.

He is on the younger side (and still looks it), but I like it.

Would be wild if our DCU Batman (who has a full adolescent son) is younger than our 'young' Battinson. But, hey, it's Hollywood

I've been hoping it's either him, Pace, or Edgerton.

I'd also accept Edgerton And Skarsgard as Swamp Thing 😁

I like Bill next to Corensweet because there's some nice visual contrast. Like if it's Lee Pace or Josh Hartnett they're just too similar of type.

I don't think that either Pace or Hartnett look at all similar to Corenswet. I mean, maybe Hartnett 20 years ago? But not how he looks right now. If anything I see more of a similarity on Corenswet and Skarsgard having both very model-esque youngish sharp faces.

Black hair, square jaw, heavy eyebrow. Not lookalikes, but read as the same type onscreen. There faces are squares. Bill's a triangle.

Skarsgaard is so different from any other Batman that I’d immediately be more interested in this movie.

First of all it's wild to me that you think that Bill doesn't have a square jaw, second of all... Pace's face most certainly isn't a square lmao. Maybe you can make the argument for Hartnett (and I think it'd be a bad one, his face looks much softer nowadays in a way that contrasts Corenswet's extraordinarily sharp features in extremely obvious ways) but with Pace it just straight up doesn't make sense especially in comparison to Bill and David.

How are you gonna say this is a squared face dawg His facial structure most closely resembles Bale's as far as previous Batmen goes who must definitely did not have a squared face either. And it's most certainly not the same "type" as Corenswet.

He's not (He's somewhat similar in type to Pattinson) and to whatever extent he is it's because he's a bad idea.

It's not the jaw, it's the shape of the face. Bill's face pushes down to create a more angular shape, as opposed to Corenswear who pushes out for a more rectangle shape. Pace def has looked more angular in the past, but the super buff post Foundation look has his face looking very square.

Is it possible they’re just being horny on main? :o
