Brave and the Bold Casting Thread

I don’t subscribe to the idea that an actor who broke through by playing one of fiction’s most notable killer clowns should follow that up by playing another famous killer clown… but my God, this laugh…

I can feel the negative chemistry between him and David from here. He's so f***ing boring. And an obvious steroid user. The jawline change is jarring.

We can do so much better.
The absolute lack of any potential chemistry with Corenswet is a huge part of what kills him in the role for me. There’s just absolutely nothing there, they’re not similar at all but also there’s zero interesting contrast in part because Sklenar simply exhibits no personality on screen. It shocks me when people post clips from that awful Taylor Sheridan show of Sklenar ‘acting’ and it’s just his dead beady eyes staring into the middle distance as he mumbles in a lame tough guy voice.

“David Corenswet is following Brandon Sklenar on IG!”
“Brandon Sklenar is following David Corenswet on IG!”

Okay, well maybe they’re flirting, have we ever considered that? :o

dude has a resting cardboard face. no charisma whatsoever. i saw few clips dudes on twitter post to hype this guy and it's just the most surface level "tough guy" whisper in a suit :weeping:

Ehh. He’s not my pick, but as is par for the course when it comes to someone in contention to play a role like this… the backlash feels a bit much.

I’ve become too Heated Rivalry-pilled, Francois Arnaud is your new Batman. It’s over. It’s been decided.

I've been a fan of his since The Borgias. It still bums me out that that show never got a proper ending.

Pushing for actors before we even know if they can act…?

You know what, I'll put my name in the hat.

My acting career consists of a dance performance, dressed as a fir tree, for elderly people at Christmas 1996. Critically acclaimed, everybody clapped.
After that, I convincingly simulated an injury to avoid endurance running in middle school and lead a whole life acting like I knew what I was doing.

Who's ready for a 5'6" Batman with a French accent?

That guy does not look like Bruce Wayne. He looks like the "likable but dumb" ex-jock local TV sportscaster archetype.

He does look a lot like comic book Bruce, especially as depicted by Jim Aparo and Neal Adams. That said, rooting for an actor with virtually no experience is a little weird to say the least.

With Star Trek: SNW wrapping up, Ethan Peck should have an open schedule soon 😉.

I've only seen him in Fackham Hall, but Ben Radcliffe seems like he could potentially pull it off.

Is Jon Hamm too old?
For the Earth? No. For DCU Batman? Probably.

I can’t imagine Gunn would ever go for a 22 year age gap between Superman and Batman. I’ve been hesitant enough just to suggest guys with eight years on David.
