Breaking Bad

Well, Skyler kind of won me back over after the last episode. That was fantastic.

An interesting development with Walt kind of trying to end it all in his car like that.

Jesse is still dumb lol.

Good ep. Looks like Gus has extended Walts deal. Jesse is gonna **** it up, i can tell.

Why was Marie so horrified about Walt's gambling story? She was shoplifting in season 1 so she's no frickin angel herself..

I guess because her little shop lifting experience didn't break up her marriage. Yet Walt's "gambling" problem broke up his.

The opening was so freaking great. Starts off with a great commercial for Los Pollos Hermanos which got my mouth watering for some chicken and then Gus' men shipping meth in the special sauce.

The confrontation was pretty tense.

Walt was eerily calm and cold blooded in how he agreed with Gus' plan and even went as far saying if he were in his position, hed probably do the same. Is it just me or does anyone else feel that Walt renegotiating the terms of their deal had more to do with Jesse airing out his displeasure at how much theyre being paid? At first I thought it was to help with Hank's medical bills, but after Skylar's brilliant lie, and his reaction, Im not too sure.

Skylar once again is on point about Walt. She can see right through him, even though its not that hard right now. I wonder if shes gonna fess up to who Walt really is by the end of the season.

Ok, so after wiki-ing kafkaesque, I understand Jesse's rejection of Saul's laundering plan. Jesse had already indentified himself as the bad guy in I think the first ep of the season. So, with Saul cleaning their drug money and thereby painting him as a legitimate businessman and contributing member of society, Jesse sees it as his way of distorting the truth about who Jesse identifies himself. That's why hes going back to slinging ice in dark corners with Badger and Pete. I thought it was hilarious how they went into an NA meeting and recruited customers. Pretty ****ed up though, lol.

So how does kafkaesque relate to the ep as a whole?

Didn't Walt renegotiate with Gus BEFORE the scene with Jesse *****ing about the cut? I thought it was...

This past ep was a "WTF?" one for me. They spend the entire ep in the lab chasing a fly. Maybe we as the viewer were supposed to feel like Jesse; we couldn't wait to get out of there........

Those final 15 minutes, where Jesse gets up on the ladder and tried to swat it was a physical manifestation of the conversation they were having. Yes, the topic of Jane was the fly. There's a reason why Walt wasn't able to get the fly to that point. Walt, falling deep into his pill-aided dream, said the fly is going to "stay up there forever," like he's never going to resolve this issue with Jesse. Jesse took the proactive approach and reached for a ladder, trying to swat it. They went back and forth, Walt said "I'm sorry about Jane." Jesse replied "it's no one's fault, we are who we are, we both would've been dead within a week. I miss her, though." Jesse finally swatted the fly and that's the end of their conversation, but the fly shows up in Walt's imagination later.

This episode has really seemed to divide people. Some fans are calling it the worst episode ever, the "jump the shark" episode, the one that makes them want to stop watching, etc etc. But I and many others view this as arguably the best episode of the season, and a masterful showcase of the Walt/Jesse relationship.

I think it's a fantastic change of pace and shows how creative the guys behind Breaking Bad really are.

Wow I cannot believe this episode is getting such negative feedback. I thought it was amazing, one of the best of the season, IMO. I enjoyed every bit of it, and I think we got some really good character development. Both characters had great monologues and the acting was superb. The creativity in the direction was also great, and the plot of the episode itself was hilarious and unexpected. People actually think this "jumped the shark"? If anything this just shows the continuation of greatness this show has maintained.

i don't understand why anyone would think that episode "jumped the shark".

it really isn't all that much different from the earlier episodes in which walt and jesse cooked in the rv.

also, the walt and jesse relationship really got strengthened again that episode after it was somewhat shaky.

I agree. People said the same thing about the season 2 finale, saying that the [BLACKOUT]plane collision[/BLACKOUT] was too far of a stretch, or that it was just a let-down in general. And while I disagreed, I could see where some disappointment may have come from, but this season so far has proved that one arguably weak episode doesn't mean it's all down hill from here on out.

Personally I loved this last episode. I started out a little iffy on it, but by the end it just reminded me why I love this show so much. Almost every episode is near perfection to me. This show has never been about the external events pushing the story forward, it's always been about the characters to me, it's a very introverted and self-studying show at it's core.

It reminded me of the same thing. I had almost forgotten about that episode until this one.

Yeah, their almost father/son relationship really shined towards the end there. The way that Walt tries to watch out for Jesse is almost heart breaking, their whole relationship is so complex really. For me, this episode changed my opinion, yet again, about Jesse. Generally I found his character to be the most tragic and one of the most entertaining stories to follow. And then this season, how self destructive and immature he's become started to annoy me. But this episode just reminded me how much of a front a lot of that attitude is for him and how vulnerable he still is.

yeah, i agree on all points. also, i really liked the episode because it went back to touch upon the show's more humorous side.

it's interesting because walt pretty much knows jesse is stealing some of the meth, and is warning him he can't protect him, and jesse reacts kind of how a rebellious son would. i would not be surprised if ultimately gus finds out about jesse's doings and walt is caught between them.

At first I wasn't on board, I was with Jesse in his reaction about the fly. They should be cooking, not avoiding sleep to kill this fly but overall I really liked this episode and the moment where Walt is drugged and talking about Jane you're just hoping he doesn't confess to her death.

Very few shows, dramas or comedies as Seinfeld has done in the past could pull something like this off and especially only using two characters!

lol, not only was the first 10 minutes or so of "Fly" the most visually interesting, but we got to see Walt and Jesse together the whole entire episode for the first time in a while.

I really thought Walt was gonna confess and Jesse was gonna kill him hahah especially because he was drugged. I love the intensity this show delivers, just absolute beautiful television.

Wow great episode tonight. I love that Skyler's turning to the dark side more and more. And that stuff with Tomas, brilliant. This season is great!

I made this today. Some breaking Bad fan art for ya'llz.

This was a great episode 2night. I thought jesse was going too kill that kid but that can still happen.

And that fan art is pretty cool alex.

Jesse is gonna go off... damn only 2 more episodes, **** is gonna go CrAzY. :D

Another excellent episode tonight. I think we're starting to get a sense of the finale fast approaching.

This was a great Jesse episode, with some more strong work from Aaron Paul. And Gus and Saul were both great in brief appearances. But star of the show for me this time round was Skyler. She's been cast into the background for much of this season, but now, as we see her "break bad", she's been brought back to the fore in what is sure to be an intriguing manner.

I feel a bit sorry for Dean Norris, who plays Hank, though. After me talking about how Emmy-worthy his work for the first part of the season was, he's been largely sidelined since his shooting. So it was good seeing him get one really good scene in with his speech about not leaving the hospital until he walks out.

Week in, week out, Breaking Bad remains the best show on TV. I can't believe there are only two episodes left of this season!

I had read the brief summaries for the remaining episodes so I was curious what Jesse would do since I didn't think stealing a little bit of meth would lead to what happens in what was described but this plot with Tomas is excellent.

Stupid AMC spoiled the ending by airing a promo during the show for the next two episodes. That location was always scary. Another awesome season is almost over.

Tough break for Dean Norris, either he's killed off the show and goes out in memorable style or has to accept that his character is going to be recovering for a long time.

I think Dean should relish the chance to show a different side of Hank, personally.

Good ep. I didn't quite know what to make of Jesse's expression during the last scene as he walked off. Shock? Vengeance?...what?

Both I think, just how everything is connected but that he should have to pay for the murder. But this is Jesse Pinkman, nothing ever goes to plan. Last two, can't believe it!
