Breaking Bad

What do you mean by throwing away? Like theyre planning to cancel the series after this season?

They want to drop season 5 to like, 6 episodes or something?

After season 4 of Mad Men (which I do enjoy) I'd happily take the last season of Breaking Bad over another two seasons of Mad Men.

Wow, thats pretty low considering how many viewers Breaking Bad is bringing in.

that simply won't happen.

i don't know how amc even asked for that; it's an insult to one of the best shows...ever.

Completely random question, was the woman who plays Skylar actually pregnant because she definitely looks like a newly recovering mother with her chubby cheeks and all.

Yeah I wondered that myself actually!

FX has been brought back into the picture if AMC doesn't figure out their plan. Hopefully it stays on AMC:

What's interesting is season 5 being labeled as the final season. Has Vince said anything? I remember an interview with Collider he did only recently, and they asked him this, and he said he still wasn't sure. All he has said officially is that he wants to go out before the show loses its appeal.

Season 5 is not yet officially the final season. However, having read many interviews with Vince Gilligan, it's strongly suggested that yes, Season 5 will be the final season of Breaking Bad.

AMC better renew Breaking Bad for a season five, it's one of their best shows and that they even considering shorten the episodes, I understand their reasoning since is what like $2-3 million per episode of BB which it's consider quite high for a show on a basic cable. I'm just worried about AMC's management on their shows, the budget issue on Mad Men (which is fixed, thankfully), Darabont's leave as a showrunner and now this. They should be careful because man, I don't want to see AMC mess up any of their shows. Anyway I won't have a problem if the next season is the last. I know that Gilligan said that it's possible the next season could be the last but if they truly can tell the story properly and not tell one with less amount of episodes, then it's fine by me.

Anyway, finally watched the latest episode, and it's the one directed by David Slade. Real solid. It's in a steady pace but some interesting stuff is going on. Seeing Walt's effect on being a criminal on Skylar, she's moving closer to breaking bad herself. I'm wondering if she will notices and stop herself before it gets too late getting more and more involved in the criminal activities. The stuff with Jesse makes me sad, the go-kart scene, downright haunting. Very interested to see his arc being developed.

Seeing Hank reading the lab notes, I'm real curious to see what he'll do if he does find out Walt's name in there and put the pieces together that he's Heisenberg. The dilemma, I wonder either he sit on it until he gets better so he can take down Walt himself or either confront him about it but first, if he does figure out that Walt's 'job' is what paying for his treatment he probably won't do anything if he's still stuck on bed. Nonetheless a solid season so far but ****'s going to hit the fan real soon and I've a feeling it won't end well to someone close to Walt.

If Hank finds out Walt is Heisenberg, it wont be long before he finds out that its because of him that the The Cousins tried to kill him. Probably beat Hank to death.

Yeah, plus as much as I love the show I can't see how they could make more than five seasons hahah... I'll totally check out anything Gilligan has a hand in from now on though.

Sneak Peek at tomorrow's episode... Mike and the suspense, we are off to a good start there....

And AMC's inside Breaking Bad: Open House video...

I hope that they are able to finish off the show in five seasons and go out on top, before it drags too long or gets stale, which I doubt it would anyway. I seriously hope that AMC did not really suggest such a short season either, it's ridiculous, a disservice, but business is business, I guess, not art.

Goddamn, that ending! Episode was nuts, holy **** holy **** holy ****.

This literally had everything. Kick ass opening, fantastic Walt/Skylar conversation where they discuss everything, Walt and Hank going over the lab notes, and that ending...

f###ing Jesse doesn't give a sh#t about nothing under the sun.

Heh. Reminds me of Tim and Eric. :funny:

Really great episode though. I'm not convinced Mike is going to kill Jessie. I think he might get him out in the desert and decide to take a "half measure" instead of going all the way. Or any number of things might happen. The situation just reminds of the story he told Walt last season.

Jesse has a death wish he knew this could happen if he didn't act right. I'm guessing that Walt's gonna do something on Jesse's behalf to make sure he survives. If Walt has a weakness its Jesse the kid pisses him off to no end but he will never give up on him. Walt will do anything for that kid even at the price of his own soul, if thats not love I don't know what is.

i think mike might mentor jesse in some way; there's no way he intends to kill him.

This was the best episode of the season thus far. There were several occasions I was on the edge of my seat - especially through the entirety of that Hank/Walt conversation about the lab notes.

Yeah man, an amazing episode. The tension during that scene was crazy, and just in general the whole episode was intense. Loved the ending and thought Skyler's scripted confession was hilarious.

A perfect episode of Breaking Bad. Season 4 is hitting its stride.

QFT. I have enjoyed every episode this season, but the most recent one REALLY got things rolling.

Gale was a total nerd. That karaoke bit was hilariously tense.

That convo on Hank's bed about the lab notes was even tenser.

I loved the scene with Walt decompressing to Saul. Its really telling when Walt didnt even take the card from him. Seems like he doesnt want to stop cooking even when he's up **** creek.

^Some amazing work by Cranston in his scene with Saul. That's definitely Emmy-worthy.
