Well, it seems that Bin Laden played quite a larger role in the 'operational' aspect than the US government thought these past few years.

That's what they are saying, but the conspiracy theorists are already questioning it. I was listening to Limbaugh during lunch and he thinks it's a deliberate attempt to make Obama look better by taking out "the #1 guy" instead of taking out a guy who wasn't really involved anymore.

i dont think so. the guy was finished. i mean he had to hide and constantly fear for his life and there are several reports that he was also sick too. as i said many times, he was more a symbol for the radicals, nothing else. other people took his place.

the other thing is that we killed him now....so is there a reason to stay in afghanistan? wouldnt suprise me, if president barack hussein obama gives the order to leave afghanistan for real....

People are desperate to discredit President Obama.

I've asked this before you and side-stepped it. Is there any particular reason why you continue to refer to President Obama by his full name? Did you refer to President Clinton as William Jefferson Clinton? Or President George HW Bush as George Herbert Walker Bush? Or President George W Bush as George Walker Bush? Something tells me no...

first, it is his real name. i dont see any probs to call him so. the other thing is that i know that some americans have a "problem" with his second surname "hussein"...it sounds muslim and well...there have been a lot of speculations about him being a secret muslim. it's always a bit funny to call him so...it makes some americans feel "weird"...

One, he's probably one of those people who are phobic of the name "Hussein" and think using it will scare other people. Obama could be "Barack Hussein Adolf Satan Palpatine Sauron Obama" and it wouldn't change the fact that his name has nothing to do with how he acts.

Two, what would be so bad with leaving Afghanistan?

Pretty sure it is Muslim, sport.

It would appear to me that the only ones who use his full name are looking to stir up trouble...

Do you really need to ask? :oldrazz:

As someone who actively encourages the brain twitches I give people, I must say that your use of Obama's middle name has to be some sort of trouble stirring, as you yourself admitted to using it because (1) you can, and (2) "it's always a bit funny to call him so...it makes some americans feel "weird"..."

What was the point of the couriers if he wasn't still active? Supposedly that's how the CIA found him. I think it is quite possible that he was using the couriers to send orders. Peter Bergen, who has interviewed Bin Laden and has researched the hell out of Al Qaeda, said back in 2004 that the way to catch Bin Laden and other big Al Qaeda targets would be to investigate their couriers.

As far as Afghanistan goes, over 70% of the public wants us to get out. And this was a poll taken BEFORE Bin Laden's death.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...sm-on-government/2011/03/14/ABBRokW_blog.html

All = 73%
Rep = 56%
Dem = 87%
Ind = 78%

The fact that 56% of Republicans and 78% of Independents wanted us to leave even before Bin Laden's death is a pretty strong sign that it's time to get the hell out. I would imagine his death will cause these numbers to go even higher. I would not be surprised if 80% of the country wants us out of there after his death.

nothing...

many people asked the government why the hell we still in afghanistan and didnt try just to kill bin laden and get out...the goals were different back then, we had other things to do but it looks like afghanistan became a graveyard for us just like it became for russia and we couldnt just leave without bin laden dead...so now he's dead and we wont lose our face, if we leave now...

According to Reuters, Al-Qaeda plans to release a new Osama Bin Laden tape 'soon'.

if the things with the couriers is right...why didnt we get any videos of him anymore? im mean there was a time, where he released videos pretty often and suddenly it stopped? he could have showns us that he is still alive and in charge..

3. i'm a muslim ... :cwink:

Being a muslim has no bearing on your troll abilities.

Christopher Nolan, once again you give the director a bad name with your bizarre identity fraud.

Leaving Afghanistan is a nice prospect, but if those Afghani troops and cops aren't trained and the government isn't stable, it will just collapse and become an open vacuum for extremists all over again. Rinse, repeat.

I think the US should get out of there as quick as it can, but in a responsible fashion that doesn't leave it a mess that will bite us again in the ass. Do the job right now, so we're not going back in again in 20 years.

Plenty of *****ey Americans too, though. Hate to stereotype, but it seems to be mostly young people, teens and those in their early 20's who are the worst with the judging our country's morality and/or conspiracy theories.

And plenty of fine foreigners too. Had a drink with an Englishman the other night who was very happy about Bin Laden being put out to pasture.
When did that happen? I dont remember that......

As long as they would leave us alone, I say let Afghanistan fall apart, but that's unrealistic to expect.

you have to many corrupt government offcials right now. they work on both sides. karzai himself is corrupt. he knows that united states cant stay in afghanistan forever, so he plays both side. he works with us and also with pakistan, russia and china.

well we almost finished the job but then presiden george walker bush thought saddam hussein/iraq had "wmd" ...and our great cia/nsa-agents supported him...

Afhganistan never attacked anyone, extremists from Afghanistan attacked. Slight difference.

Do you just make up stuff and see what kind of reaction you will get?

That's akin to saying in World War II, Japan left us alone, but we attacked them.

whats so hard to understand? we attacked the wrong country. none of those who took the towers down were afghans. all of them came from saudi-arabia...the home of al qaeda. the home of bin laden. the home of radical islam. but hell we have business and oil with them. they can produce many radicals as long as they deliver us oil ...we wont do anything...
