I'd take Snyder over Ratner any day.

But I'd rather have a "dark", gritty Conan movie (like Excalibur) than polished cool 300.

Well, gore and nudity wise, the fanboys would be set, since Snyder has no qualms with that **** obviously. The question is, does his style really suit the material.

Maybe we'll know when he develops one of his own. Thus far, his "style" seems to be directly copying the comic book, writing flaws and all, which is nice sometimes but, I'd like to see at least some originality.

I hope to see a good Conan movie someday. I think the hardest part is probably to find the right actor to play Conan. Maybe it should be motion captured like Beowulf or something. I would still prefer live action though.
