The UK is no longer the world's 5th largest economy. The £ has fallen so far that France has overtaken us.

The British Pound is now trading at its third lowest value to USD since 1791. On plus side it has probably never been cheaper to visit the UK if your American.

That's what I said about direct democracy, it can be very dangerous.

Q: Should children eat batteries if it could stop the immigrants?
[ ] YES
[ ] NO

And then all it takes is 50% to win for it be enforced instead of like a supermajority or something.

Democracy is not foolproof.

At times, mobs can brainwash many people into thinking what they stand for is the right thing to do.

I see people are wanting a 2nd EU Referendum to come along. Reminds me of this :hehe:

Trump has gone on record saying he loves this decision, so there you have it.

Trump landed in Scotland saying that he was proud of their vote to leave when Scotland was all stay. The man is a c*nt.

Since this is not legally binding some politicians need to bite the bullet and take one for the sake of the country and decline to leave the EU before anymore damage is done to the country.

Of course polticians being politicians they won't do anything that might harm themselves, even if they are the ones directly responsible for stoking this fire and getting people worked up over things that this Brexit won't fix and has only exacerbated.

It's like cutting off your foot because one of your toes has a hangnail.

What you're saying is that it's time for the superdelegates politicians to make a last stand.

This analogy

The politicians live in that country as well. It's almost their duty to make sure this **** doesn't get approved. Their jobs will be at stake either way, but at least if they keep the UK in the EU, they may find another job.

What if there are signs that support for leaving declines within the next 6 months to a year?

Still seems to me it would be largely divisive issue if leave declined to 49% from 52%.

So, watching social media, I gotta say...this current youth generation is the worst. The absolute worst.

Some results of Brexit:

- Collapse of economies all around the world

- Currencies are in a nose dive

- People are going to lose their jobs

- Essentials are going to become more expensive due to tariffs

- It'll be harder for refugees and those seeking safety to flee from oppression

And what are the Millennials/Bernie Bros on the Facebook and Twitter ranting about?

"My right to life experience is being denied because I can't go live off of my trust fund in Germany for a year! Boo hoo! Its so unfair! I have a right to love and friendship and experiences that are now being taken away from me!"

THIS is why no one takes millennials seriously. There are tons of concerns associated with Brexit. Them being deprived of their "right" to have "life experiences" is literally the most minuscule, petty, and irrelevant of the issues. It is so typical of this generation. There are real problems and all they can think about is their own selfish desires.

This is an object lesson in why you get off your ass and vote, even if you think your side has it in the bag.

But they were in a really intense game of hackey sack!

What if Scotland and London form their own combined nation-state? They can be Greatest Britain while the remainder gets to be known as Max Mad Fury Road.

A lot of states had anti-gay ballot referendums here in the states in the past that passed. All awful garbage. I don't care if some pot head sees the value in them, I don't like having them in front of me when I vote. It just makes me think the elected representatives aren't doing their job debating and rejecting or passing legislation.

Maybe those sentiments were stated in the stupidest way possible, but they are an expression of one of the most serious risks of the Brexit: impairing the mobility of labour. That's one of the most important aspects of the modern global economy. Just look at the United States, and think about how much human capital is wasted by people not willing to leave the region they were born in to find opportunity elsewhere.

Impeding labor is one thing. That is an economic concern. The idiots on social media talking about their right to see the world and have life experiences are saying something totally different though. Damn kids.
