An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar...
The Englishman wanted to go so they all had to leave.
Did they leave the Welshman at home?

Saw Polish and Muslim people on the news saying they had been abused in the streets since the the leave vote by xenophobes and racists.Brexit isn't about racism, and racial based attacks rise in the UK.![]()

Putin agrees with the decision. Mostly because he despises the EU and it's part of his supervillain plan to break it.

The EU is a threat to Russia's power and influence. Part of the reason the Ukrainian Civil War happened is because the western half of the country was pro-EU and wanted closer ties to the EU rather than Russia.
Obviously Russia wants a weakened EU. The EU also still has ongoing sanctions against Russia.
And Trump wants "better relations" with Russia.
I'm noticing an unholy alliance.
No need for people to feel guilty. These are the same idiots doing this stuff who have always been under the surface. Unfortunately they seem to think they have 'won' and got public backing and can now get away with things like this. Hopefully it will die down soon.Voting to leave the EU for reasons of wanting to step away from a German-led state has been overshadowed by a paranoia/hysteria about a sudden uprise of racism and 'kicking the immigrants out'. Now people are being made to feel guilty for having their own reasons for saying leave.
It saddens me that both sides of the argument have been so emotive and manipulative. Extreme views on both sides and no one speaking rationally.
I think we can get through this without the dramas. A friend of mine is working in Asia at the moment and his sister posted on his Facebook about how the UK is 'like 1930s Nazi Germany' right now. I can't believe how absurd some people are behaving, it's absolutely not like that at all. When I woke up on Friday it felt no different to Thursday.
The best thing about his speech is the guy on the right. Don't know if it's visible in that video but he facepalms hard then tries to cover his face for quite a while, thinks he's ok then starts laughing and covers his face again.Amazing Nigel Farage Speech 6/28

Incredible! I really hope he somehow becomes the next PM!

The media will of course turn every molehill into a mountain regardless of topic. Which also makes it difficult to know when things are actually different. I think there's a noticeable spike (a few people I know have mentioned witnessing minor incidents in the last couple of days) but we're still talking something like 1 in 1,000 people directly affected or something very obscure like that. Of course for those who haven't experienced anything like that in their life it will be a big deal. The problem is, it probably isn't anywhere near as big of a problem as people are saying it is...its just that now, EVERY SINGLE incident of racism is going to get full on media and it will be reported as being linked to the vote.
I think the vote was pretty dumb, but it was their vote....and that is how it went. Should they have had a 60% majority placed on it....YES, and again that was their mistake.
But, all of this crying over it AT THE MOMENT, and how bad it is now in the UK is ridiculous. Most of the repercussions will not be felt for at least a year or two out.
So all of this, THERE'S RACISM RUNNING RAMPANT IN THE STREETS OF LONDON, is nuts, and the hyperbole is simply being egged on by the media.
So dumb....
I like this speech (and I'm glad the guy governing it allowed Farage to say his piece without the heckling). But if a speech as good were given by someone on the left wing would you be calling for them to be PM too?Amazing Nigel Farage Speech 6/28

British prime minister David Cameron has told EU leaders that immigration was the main reason why voters rejected the European Union.
In what is likely to be his final summit, Mr Cameron told his fellow EU leaders over dinner that, although the UK wanted to retain access to the single market, concerns about immigration needed to be addressed.
His comments – which signalled the challenges faced by the UK and the EU as they strive to reach a new agreement – came amid signs of increasing divisions across the EU about how much leeway to give the UK.
The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has said the EU is ready to start the divorce from the UK today.
It comes as the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is due to speak with European leaders at an emergency summit in Brussels this evening.
The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, is being urged to press the serious impact that a Brexit will have on Ireland - in a bid to protect our free trade and flow of people - at the gathering.
British police have launched an investigation after a group of teenagers were caught on film hurling racist abuse at a passenger on a tram in Manchester city centre.
In the video, three young men who appear to be drinking from bottles of beer can be seen shouting at a man to “get back to Africa” and “f*****g get off the tram now”.
Manchester Evening News reports that the tram was travelling from Shudehill to Market Street at 7.40am this morning, and that the man had asked the teenagers to stop swearing as they were upsetting other passengers.
The Government and the British government are set to discuss the fallout from the Brexit vote for the first time tomorrow.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan and Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villiers will talk about the impact of the referendum on cross-border relations when they meet in Belfast.
Meetings will also take place with Northern Ireland's First and Deputy First Ministers and there will be separate discussions on the divisive issue with SDLP leader Colum Eastwood and Alliance Party leader David Ford.
The UK’s decision to leave the EU has unleashed turmoil across global stock markets and at some cost to many of the world’s richest people.
Brexit-related losses of the world’s 400 richest people amounted to an eye- watering $USD127.4bn (€114.8bn) in a single day, Bloomberg estimated earlier this week.
Europe-focused Ryanair was one of the Irish stocks worst hit in the stock market slump.
In the wake of the Brexit vote, French leaders appear to be infused with a quixotic belief that they can save Europe.
“France has a particular responsibility because she’s at the heart of Europe,” president François Hollande said in his first public remarks after the referendum results were announced. “Because France wanted Europe, because she built Europe.”
New “initiatives to relaunch Europe” are announced daily by presidential hopefuls. Proposals by Hollande in Berlin and Brussels this week, and by prime minister Manuel Valls in the National Assembly on Tuesday, would make Europe more like France, with stronger social protection, higher taxes and more robust defence.
An increase in overseas visitors for the first five months of this year is helping to make 2016 a record breaking year for tourism.
However, the collapse of sterling in the wake of the Brexit vote could hurt further growth, according to Tourism Ireland.
There was an almost 14% rise in the number of tourists arriving in Ireland between January and May — with the number of visitors from North America rising by over 18%.
