The EU was ****ed before the Brexit. For years people have been going on about it going down the pan.

Greece is bankrupt and was bailed out by the likes of Britain. Why? What does Greece offer other than olive oil and nice beaches?

Spain is pretty much ****ed. Italy isn't doing well. Now Britain doesn't have to contribute to their bailouts. Holidays might be more expensive... oh no!

Only Germany contributed more money to the EU than Britain. That is why they are pissed off. Also because the whole thing was mainly their idea and now a big country has told them to poke it.

As for big corporations wanting to leave Britain? Don't make me laugh. Why would they leave now the red tape of the EU has finally been cut?

Britain will make deals with growing economies like India and steadfast economies like China if it comes down to it. Things that were blocked by the red tape of the EU.

Britain can now deport foreign criminals without the EU saying it breaches their human rights. Who gives a **** about some Bosnian war criminal getting assasinated if he's sent back home? Why should British tax payers have to pay for him to sit in Belmarsh?

As for the pound temporarily dropping? Yea... and? Everyone in the City knew that was going to happen. In fact they were hoping for it so they could line their pockets whilst everyone panicked for no reason.

At the end of the day the EU was a corrupt organisation that was on its last legs. The whole thing would've collapsed in 10 years with or without the Brexit. Britain leaving may have sped the process up. But oh well... good riddance.

Look everyone knows the middle class is getting squeezed out not only in the US but in other places as well. The owner class ,that elite .01% who control most everything have been streamlining the flow to themselves for decades. making sure that their taxes are zero or close to it. they exploit and collude. they buy governments and drain you dry. productivity up,profits up,pay to the working class stagnant for decades. Trickle down is a lie and we have to change it. Not just in one country but all of them. These are multinational corporations and they need to be brought to heel before the top heavy economy crashes under it's own weight. People need money to spend to generate jobs. It all starts with demand. It always has. But you can't just splinter yourself off alone or you'll be a target. This needs to be addressed with the WTO,G10 etc and a campaign needs to be organized across borders.

People like Farage still think they live in the mid twentieth century. They simply don't realize the world has moved on. Backwards looking people instead of forwards looking.

India isn't going to give the UK lucrative trade deals just because they are in an antiquated commonwealth with us.

If we are depending on people like Nigel Farage to come up with solutions then we really are screwed.

It gets more bizarre. I also heard Boris Johnson suggesting some sort of economic agreement similar to the EU between the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I am guessing a lot of hardcore Brexit supporters wouldn't want countries like India or Pakistan in that agreement.

1. I'm not sure Canada, New Zealand and Australia would want to agree to such a arrangement.

2. Would young Brits really prefer going all the way to Canada or Australia or New Zealand, rather then just looking for jobs in say France? That is going way further to be part of a way smaller economy.

Also Farage seems to want to criticize Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau for not supporting the Brexit, so he is on a good start in terms of promoting a better relationship better relations with the rest of the Commonwealth. :whatever:

I'm guessing that Farage only liked Canada when it was controlled by Harper and the Conservatives, I heard Farage based UKIP on the Canadian Reform Party.

Also it seems like Boris Johnson may not have been as enthusiastic about the Brexit as originally thought.

Britain needs a strong PM who will change things like the lazy benefits culture. Scroungers on the dole won't have the immigration excuse for much longer. Unskilled "dirty" jobs will have to done by British people now. If someone has been out of full time education for a number of years but has never paid tax or national insurance? FORCE them to go to work.

The thing with immigration is... people focused on the myth of jobs being stolen. Instead they should've focused on the FACT that Britain is an island smaller than Florid a. The place is quite simply... overpopulated.

Well he was still one of the more prominent supporters for the Brexit and he actually seems happy with the results, far more so then Johnson.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the Brexit has also been supported by the likes of Trump, Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz, so a lot of people I would consider reckless and uninformed think the Brexit is great.

I hope the people behind the Brexit have a good plan to deal with the fallout, because doing this and not having any idea on how to deal with the fallout is the height of hubris and recklessness.

That is true and it all remains to be seen. But I honestly believe that with the right leadership Britain is better off out of the sinking ship that is the EU.

That's nice and good ,but if you don't have a plan to rectify the inequality then what?

The reason these multi-nationals got so powerful is because they have the governments in their back pockets. It's still those governments that will negotiate those new deals. This is the Occupy Wall Street problem again after the recession.

Only if everyone were on the same boat. The whole campaign seemed backed by a lot of protest votes that didn't think it would actually happen.

Tories love cutting stuff and believes in a smaller public sector. Anyone that thinks that a Tory government that moves from to the center to right will step in to fill the funding gap left by the EU is kidding themselves.

If they have spending money then it is going on things like Hs2. Places like Cornwall, Wales and North East England will continue to rot and wither into desolation. They have no reason to invest in those regions as they see them as having less chance of success than their northern powerhouse idea.

In all honesty not much will change. Holidays for Brits in Europe will be more expensive. Visas will be needed. Students won't be able to get free education in Europe (by free I mean get loans that will never ever be paid off).

The pound will remain stronger than the euro until it finally collapses and countries go back to old currencies.

If this turns up being a good thing in the long run, then what will all of you shouting over it being a horrible disaster say? Just curious.

I myself don't know too much about all of this or really have a strong opinion, but I never liked the idea of the EU from the start.

It does. If you research why Greece went bankrupt you'll see how corrupt the EU is.

Don't get me wrong Britain is corrupt. Every country is really. But with the EU it was basically so the bigger countries could consolidate power in the region. Germany being the most hungry in my opinion. Merkel is try to gain power. She is a very sly but intelligent woman.

The disturbing thing is nobody seems to have noticed (or complains about) the fact that the average political "leader" appears to have the temperament and intellect of your average 15 year old.

Why would visas be needed? US citizens travelling to europe don't need visas why should we? We didn't before the eu.

With italy's banking shock getting closer by the day i really can't see the eu as it stands lasting much longer. A number of parties across europe are already calling for their own referendums.
 
The fact that after centuries of colonization the British still talk about "glory" is really unsettling.
