Bridge to Terabithia

should i watch this movie? my friend wants to watch it with me but im not sure if its good...i havent read the book either advice please?

I'm almost in the seat,if I could just get a push.
I've never read the book and the trailer is doing nothing for me.
But I heard that there's a twist or something,it's a little darker than what I expected? I suppose I should do more research.

oh ok.. and what do u mean ur 'almost in the seat'? are u like watching the movie right now? almost?

Lol,I was trying to be cute. :csad:
What a meant was that my interest has been piqued by some of the little things I've heard. :yay:

The film is being misrepresented by the trailers. It is not a fantasy action film, but more like a children's dark drama. Very subtle...I highly suggest you go tzarinna.

Cool,thanks.
I figured something wasn't right with that trailer.

What is so "dark" about the movie without giving anything away?

'/\ Does it give away any spoiler material though?

Just want to know what makes the film dark... not the ins and outs of the plot, that's what I'm seeing the movie for.:cwink:

The undertone of the movie is that, generally? Life is really, really tough, and that it's hard to handle sometimes, and that you need help every once in a while to deal. And then, of course, the 'twist' adds in a whole other level of dark.

Yeah. I most def. will watch this movie once it hits DVD. It's sounds pretty tragic.

Why is it once you start crying you can't stop? :cmad: :csad:
I'm sure it has something to do with once they've pulled that heart string they don't let go.

I saw it today, never read the book and really have no background on it besides this and another thread.
So anyway,I'm not sure what era this was suppose to be filmed in but I'm assuming 80's cause it had that feel as well and the film it was shot in.
The opening credits were pretty cool and still left me a bit confused as to what to expect. This turned out to be such a darling film. Nothing was over the top and that little boy looks just like Michael J. Fox,when MJF was a little chunky. :precious:Such a great story of friendship and child hood innocence. :O

i concur

I saw this today on pay per view today and Im surprised, it was pretty good. The effects are bad but the story is really nice...its a coming of age story...and it so sad that [blackout]Leslie actually dies..I didn't see that coming [/blackout] :(

I hated this movie, absolutely nothing redeems it for me.
