As long as he isn't constantly being punked by Batman...
Its Bruce, I would allow it. Technically he's black anyway

Yeah right. About as black as Bill Clinton.

who in here is actually black?
Dude your superman sounds like he would spend to much time on little crap, and not enough on much more important issues. Superman can protect protestors, by telling them to find other ways to get their point accross. You want superman to stop a family from getting thrown out their house, tell them to pay their damn mortgage.
I dunno, Golden age superman beat down wife beaters, and did all that "protect the little guy" stuff, back then he was short tempered.
I'd like to say a few things on the subject of Muhammad X.
First, his idea, if the people who made him cared enough, could have made him into a real good and inspiring character. There is enough unexplored territory in black communities that could be used for back drop, but DC, unlike Marvel, refuses to deeply explore any solid African-American heritage to make a character out of it.
Second, due to the fact that he was probably made with the sole purpose of pasifying us "angry blacks", the creators haven't given him a second thought. He was made to make Superman look good, and though this fact urks me to the bone as more shrouded racism in comics, it is the truth behind Muhammad X.
Third, I hope he comes back, but the only way for that to happen is to have people write in and ask for him because the truth is that the white DC comic book creators don't want a powerful and inspiring brotha like X gaining fame unless it is absolutely necessary. Then there is always the off chance that he makes to the main stream, most people reading comics aren't of African-American heritage like me, and there for his supporting fans will only get him enough comics for him to suddenly die in. It is the way of America, and until we as a people do something about it, it will always be that way.
Back on topic, yeah, I too would like to see Muhammad X back in action. Goin head to head with famious villains, and showing the world that black people do matter.
(P.S. I'm roleplaying as him in one of the DC RPGs, trying to bring him out into the world in my own little way.)

I miss the Milestoneverse.![]()

I think you're misreading that last panel. I think he makes Superman look bad. I think he makes every other character in that book, black and white, look bad. He makes the white characters look willfully ignorant, and he makes Natasha (and almost John Henry Irons, by extension) look kinda...man, I don't wanna say Uncle-Tommish, but it's kinda like that.Brotha-Man said:Second, due to the fact that he was probably made with the sole purpose of pasifying us "angry blacks", the creators haven't given him a second thought. No. Geoff Johns co-created him. Geoff Johns is a continuity-god in the sense that he knows everything that has ever happened (or unhappened) in the DCU. He surely remembers his own character creations. That's the most puzzling thing to me about MX not showing in the big Infinite Crisis brawl. Not to mention those other black heroes Natasha mentions. It's not enough to rehash Amazing Man, Geoff. It's not enough to put John Henry in charge of Infinity Inc. and put John Stewart on the JLA, DC. Bring back these dudes you hinted at.Or it's more likely nobody even knows who the f**k he is.
See, it isn't just Silver Age redux. It's just "redux of things we haven't done in awhile." Infinity, Inc., for example, isn't really Silver Age at all. The whole "a million Titans books" isn't Silver Age. Amazing Man isn't Silver Age. Kingdom Come isn't Silver Age. Monarch isn't Silver Age. Even a lot of this Kirby-worship is Bronze Age more than it's Silver Age.Anubis said:Add in the silver age redux climate of the DCU where stuff that went down in the 90's are being pushed to the back ground if not completely ignored, and you have you're reason why he isn't around.
Fair enough. I just think DC could be doing more with black characters. At least they're not exterminating them (Goliath in Civil War) or stereotyping them (Luke Cage in Civil War) like Marvel is.Anubis said:Besides, two of the most powerful beings in the DCU are black, that's good enough for me at the moment.

Come on, it wouldn't be proper tokenism if you started allowing more than one of them at a time.
yeah, because not having MX is their problem right now.
