Hello all,
The two USB ports on the side of my laptop seem to have "magically" broken when my brother was using it.
The little black plastic bits that house the four prongs broke and slid off.

Now the "prongs" are bare and bent in different ways.

How hard would this be to fix?
Would it be better to take it to a computer repair shop?
How much would a repair like this cost?

Sorry for the poorly worded post.
I need sleep.heh

Most USB ports are connected to the main board. In your laptop, the only more expensive part is the LCD screen.

If you power off the laptop, and remove the battery, you can sometimes straighten out the pins so that a USB cord will line up with them, if you are careful about how you plug the cord in and out. Otherwise, your brother will have to buy you a new laptop...
