Noel Clarke (Star Trek Into Darkness, Doctor Who & Mute) and Ashley Walters (Get Rich or Die Tryin, Bullet Boy, Top Boy & Speed Racer) star in Sky Ones new production Bulletproof.

A mix of comedy, drama and action, Bulletproof will see Clarke and Walters as police duo, Bishop and Pike — two best mates, bonded by the same moral code despite their differences.

Growing up, Bishop (Clarke) and Pike (Walters) had very different lives. Pike’s dad was the first black police commissioner and the son grew up always trying to live up to expectations, while Bishop grew up looking for a father figure as he was passed around foster homes, moving from school to school. Bulletproof will put their friendship to the test for the first time.

So sort of a British version of Starsky & Hutch?

So sort of a British version of Starsky & Hutch?

Yep.

The first episode was pretty good.

Supporting cast is solid as well.

Clarke Peters from (The Wire, Persons Of Interest, John Wick, Jessica Jones, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and True Detective) plays Ashley Walters character's dad.

Christina Chong (Black Mirror, Dominion, 24) plays a fellow NCA cop

I can't remember anything about Starsky and Hutch's background. Just that we were introduced to them and they dressed differently and drove different kinds of cars. And Paul Michael Glaser/Starsky being maybe the first modern pistol gunfighter on TV with a pistol and two handed Weaver grip

So CW got the U.S rights to the show and will be airing it.

Weird show for CW to pick up as it isn't like their usual type of shows.

A British version of the Adam Sandler and Damon Wayans classic?
