If you're looking for more, I'd try Hush (same writer as TLH), Blind Justice (Really good if you can suspend your disbelief, and gives a much-needed Bruce Wayne prespective rather than Batman's) and Year One.
I agree that Year One doesn't have much action. Sometimes the art, especially on Batman himself, seems a bit strange. But it is really, really well written, and IMO Miller's only good Batman. Everything else seems to involve him trying to make Batman his own with bad, bad results.
I actually haven't read TLH, I don't want to draw any potential spoiling references to TDK, but Loeb on Hush was really good. Maybe a bit too much narrative, but a great story and amazing art.
