I don't know if I buy the LR scoop , though from a story POV it would make sense. So I guess that would mean Hunter is Walller, The guy from Argo is Morgan Edge, could Cullen Mulvey be the hired gun?

Well, Mayimbe described Waller as a US senator; and Chris B recently reported that Hunter will be portraying a senator in the film. So, it's certainly possible.

Anything is possible, but I really doubt they would change Waller's race. About a month ago, I read a rumor that Hunter is playing a senator that is pro-Superman and that she becomes the target of an assassination plot. The source on this rumor is unknown. And it was reposted on 4chan of all places. So it is very, very likely false. But it predicted that Hunter would play a senator and now we're hearing about David Cain. It just made me go hmmm.

Nothing I know about Waller is inherently african american (just as nothing about Perry White other than his name is particularly...well White). She's just a strong smart (and dangerous) woman. If someone like Holly Hunter (a great actress) were to play her it would seem right for me, she has the presence and gravitas to pull that role off.

I hope there's no Doomsday. There is an Easter Egg ref to Doomsday in the "In Universe" doc on the MOS extras disc, which points to Doomsday being Kryptonian in origin. I can't off the top of my head think of how to bring something like that in to a film like this as compared to Metallo, Parasite or others.

On the other hand there's some early evidence of perhaps a Death Of Superman story gloss going on too, and the set pics point to that in such a way that I can't come up with an alternative for that either.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that we're not getting an actual "Death of Superman" adaptation here.

It wouldn't feel earned and plus, it would most likely mean that this film ends on a cliffhanger, with JL being where Superman returns.

Not too crazy about this news if true. Morgan Edge and David Cain always felt like tertiary characters to me, which is fine but I'm hoping that there is a really good secondary villain in this. Mainly, it's just disappointing that Metallo possibly won't be in it.

Then again, it's El Mayimbe, so many it's bullsh**.

I think i remember an interview saying the villain will take all three of them to take it down.......not sure if it was a false rumor tho???

I think makes alot of sense even if we don't want another kryptonian villain but with that ship full of kryptonian babies going into the ocean it makes sence........you know if Lex gets one and speeds up its aging BOOM!!!.....Bizarro

I think Metallo or parasite would make a better movie and save Bizarro for when we see lex fighting one day with him at his side like in the new 52.

Plus Metallo and parasite can render superman so vulnerable he would learn that sometimes even he needs help.

Who I would like to see as the actual villains...
Lex, joker, and metallo, with a hint at a bigger threat at the end, Darkseid.

I think Bizarro could work marvellously well in place of Hope from Luthor: Man of Steel.

Have a clone (or something, so he doesn't need to be played by Henry) of Superman created to be a corporate Superman on behalf of Lexcorp. He could begin as a genuine good guy, inspired by Superman, but not as smart, sort of like a kid brother.

Then as the film progresses his biology begins to fail, he becomes a dark mirror of Superman, reflected from broken glass. His backwards \S/ could be self inflicted, and done in a mirror. He still tries helping, but in a backwards way, but he's endangering people, and Superman needs to stop him.

Bizarro's mind still warps further and his implanted memories of Superman still effect him, and he tries to launch himself off Earth to Krypton. But he has some fight with Superman along the way and his body just gives out, and he dies in the arms of his hero.

I like all of these ideas. It's a more "realistic" and less silly approach to Bizarro and one that would create a good conflict for Superman. Kind of like Cap in the Winter Soldier... he'd have to fight someone he really doesn't want to.

I think if they do a cliffhanger which is a given IMO with one film following the other by a year, Doomsday makes sense. A gloss of it anyway.

Marketing bonanza. Sets up JL. gets everyone talking about Superman as they did in 1992 after the DOS comic. Boost to JL and a needed boost to interest in Superman.

On the other hand that was a huge spoiler to leak. Would Snyder have done this in the open knowing photos are getting leaked right and left? So it could be a finesse move on his part.

I actually think the cliffhanger is more Superman MIA or exiling himself. An adaption, not a repeat, of the DOS s/l. No faux Supermen and all.
