Guys, come on... this internet thing is serious business. We don't have time for your shenanigans. :o

Am I the only one who has thought of Aaron Eckhart as an esteemed, looked-up-to astronaut?

Wow. I was just searching GOOGLE (hopelessly) for any news about INTERSTELLAR (no luck), when I found this (maybe it was mentioned in another board/thread, if you know it already, sorry):

http://movies.yahoo.com/news/variety-fires-reporter-jeff-sneider-exclusive-225835311.html

Is it possible that a well known journalist working for "Variety" would be fired over losing an "exclusive"? Is Nolan so important now? I was impressed. Although (the article was not very clear in its details) I think Sneider behaved badly to the publicist who was supposed to give him the scoop.

Release Date: 11/07/14

http://www.deadline.com/2013/03/chr...er-bros-co-production-and-joint-distribution/

The much anticipated sci-fi film will be released in theaters and IMAX beginning November 7, 2014. Paramount will distribute domestically while Warner Bros Pictures will release internationally. This rare move by two major studios demonstrates how hot as project Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar is in the movie marketplace. Today’s announcement was surprising as Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros Pictures don’t do business together on major films. But Insterstellar will be co-produced and distributed by the two studios, with Paramount Pictures handling domestic distribution and Warner Bros Pictures distributing the film internationally. Directed and written by Academy Award-nominee Nolan, pic is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan. The film will be produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas of Syncopy Films and Lynda Obst of Lynda Obst Productions. Kip Thorne will executive produce. The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding:

Brad Grey, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures said, “As a filmmaker and storyteller, Chris has continuously entertained the world with his extraordinary and unparalleled talents. I am pleased beyond measure to welcome him to the Paramount Pictures family. Partnering with Chris, Emma, Lynda and Warner Bros. to release this original idea next November is the perfect way to start the Thanksgiving and holiday movie season for audiences around the world.”

Jeff Robinov, President, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, said, “Christopher Nolan is truly one of the great auteurs working in film today, and we’re extremely proud of our successful and ongoing collaboration with him and Emma Thomas. We are excited to be teaming with Paramount, and look forward to working with the Nolans, and producer Lynda Obst, on this extraordinary new project.”

We should start hearing some casting rumblings relatively soon I would suppose.

Love that description. Even it being that short pumps me up.

Paramount sounds like they want to kidnap Nolan in that press release. :funny:

I wonder when they'll start shooting? Fall of this year?

Suddenly... every A-lister in Hollywood opened up their calendar for the fall of this year. :hehe:

With that release date I would think so.

Just imagining the casting possibilities is exhilarating. Who they will pick to lead this heroic journey.

Does this in any way put a damper on the rumor that he is involved in Justice League/World's Finest? I really hope so.

I suspect he'll go with a pretty big name for the lead a la Inception and some character actors for supporting.

Great news!

I don't wanna look like a crazy fanboy but Interstellar has such a huge potential: Interstellar > any other film

I'd love to see one of these: Damon / Phoenix / McGregor / Williams. I can live without JGL. :yay:

Cant wait. I like this pattern of Nolan coming out with a new film every two years since the prestige
