Sounds good

I just hope Nolan shakes things up a bit in terms of the cast though. I'd love to see some new faces in this.

It's a comedy about slobs going into space. Nolan is remaking Deep Space Homer.

Since Guy Pearce is finally doing blockbuster films (Prometheus, Iron Man 3), perhaps he can be in a Nolan film again.

I wonder when they'll start shooting? Fall of this year?
Suddenly... every A-lister in Hollywood opened up their calendar for the fall of this year. :hehe:

Depends on the VFX .
Nolan has gradually warmed up to the idea of using more and more VFX but not depend on them. In his movies he tries to shoot as much as possible in-camera meaning that the VFX work can be done in a smaller timeframe then your average blockbuster.
However (and this is purely speculation on my part) something on the scale of requires a longer timeframe to work on the VFX based on the description.
I'm guesssing the the script work is pretty much done and they're currently busy doing the concept art.
Shooting could start as soon as summer.

Well since Interstellar will be a fall 2014 film, what's going to be the big July 2014 pic for WB? Or will they do more shuffling around?

Jupiter Ascending

Yeah, I thought Interstellar would be the film that replaced The Hobbit: There and Back Again for WB's mid-July tentpole.

It's kinda odd Paramount and WB have opted for November 7th, but it's a clear field as far as release dates go.

Technically it is Paramount's movie in the States. WB only gets foreign distribution and revenue (which could actually be more lucrative if Inception is any indication).

Yep or Mad Max: Fury Road. Or All You Need is Kill in the event 300: Rise of an Empire moves. Or Transcendence (Altogether possible; Oblivion went back and forth from July to April). Or even Godzilla moving back, if Pacific Rim does well.

Can't wait. I'm hoping casting comes out and we hear some of these names are in it:

Tom Hardy, Aaron Eckhart, Guy Pearce, Anne Hathaway, Rebecca Hall, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and/or Ralph Fiennes.

Obviously the first half is more likely than the second half of that.

Joaquin Phoenix
Martin Freeman
Emmy Rossum
John Hawks
Shea Whigham
Kaya Scodelario
w/ My Cocaine (cameo)

i actually want this one to have at least one out of left field casting.

someone like jackie earle haley. or at least something to that extent.

The next 300 might move to next year, not because of quality, but because (If I remember correctly) Rhythm & Hues was the main VFX house behind it and now it's gone bankrupt. I know that WB and Fox are loaning some cash to R&H so they can finish some of their projects but that could be a fool's erand.

I think that's very possible. I'm expecting a big star to lead this. If Depp wasn't doing Transcendence, he would be one of my early guesses.

It'd be so incredible seeing Christoph Waltz in a Christopher Nolan movie. This would definitely be a cool one for him to be part of as one of the leads.

Nolan + Pearce reunion please. :o:up:
