C. Nolan's Interstellar

I much as I love Jeff Goldblum, when he plays a scientist it is always the Seth Brundle type, there is not much variation.

It's the lack of variation that makes us worship him. Some actors have schticks that work. Jeff, Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery.

The most Malcolm-like moment in TLW was when he was yawing, in his 1st appearance in that movie.

His entire struggle with Eddie's technology was wonderfully funny. Especially when he's trying to talk with the Costa Rican woman over the radio in the trailer.

I want Bryan Cranston as a villain in a Nolan film.

Get it done

Maybe it'll be Caine and Freeman as a leading duo.

"The Bucket List 2 - Interstellar Boogaloo"

(and yes I know Caine wasn't in The Bucket List)

There needs to be more Bryan Cranston in general. lol

Y'all can yearn for more dramatic Cranston if you want, I understand completely, but I want that dude doing comedy again. Not CBS multicam laugh track comedy, either, REAL comedy. :o:up:

Although it was a voiceover role, he did play that hardass tiger in the last Madagascar.

What are the chances of seeing James Franco in this? He was nearly Eames in Inception and he's a big star now

I like Franco and I wouldn't be opposed to him being in the film but not as the lead.

In my opinion Franco is a terrible actor. He really just has one persona. I like Franco, but I have never felt him to be convincing in roles such as that in Oz. It just looks like James Franco in a costume.

Franco is an odd one. Sometimes I think he's great and other times he looks like he doesn't give a sh** about anything. I don't think he fits all that well in sci-fi/fantasy type movies (though I do think he was pretty good in Spider-Man 2). I hope he stays away from this.

You could say that about any actor that's not dramatically changing their vocals.

It's just not vocals, though. It's just his demeanor. He has that "stoner mentality". And I have nothing against it, but it bleeds into all his roles.

Franco is a hit or miss actor which is why I wouldn't want him to lead a film like this. You just never know which Franco is going to show up and I don't want to worry about that. He was beyond eh, in Apes and didn't seem to care, he seemed to care in Oz but even then he was miscast because he is too modern and isn't over the top enough for a Raimi film. I felt a struggle in that performance.

I liked Oz and I mostly liked him in Oz so I'm not bashing him just evaluating him as an actor.

Here's a name to blow your mind.

^ I think the awesome would be too much for even Nolan to handle.

Remember, DDL considered Phoenix's role as the best of the year and called him out during the Globes. Would not surprise me if these two got together...Although, how different would it be for DDL to do Sci-Fi. And you are right, how amazingly awesome...The man commands the screen and I imagine making him the TIME TRAVELER that leads a effort to change past, discover future, create history would be iconic as every one of his role.

Phoenix manipulation factor...Oh man the plotlines are opening up in my head and i have no clue what this film is about haha
