The Amazing Spider-Man C.Thomas Howell confirms who is the villain and reveals details on his scenes

So, how do we know this ....tweeter is referring to the new Spider-Man movie?

I wonder if the last scene is of Ray talking about Spider-Man or is it Gwen's funeral?
I hope not. Gwen being killed by Lizard instead of Goblin would be horrible.

But I'm glad there's FINALLY confirmation of Lizard, though I was 99% sure he was gonna be in it.

.. I'm thinking about doing it, but I don't want to come off super creepy..

Jesus christ, she posts like 100 tweets a day. I might kill her instead.

Screw it, I'll message her.

Apparently I can't send a message to someone whose not following me. Time to do some internet sleuthing..

I found this on her tumblr:

From visiting Sony Studios. It was really awesome! Watching everyone get around on their bicycles, the buildings, stages, and of course the sets watching how they’re made. I got to walked through the lockers and sewer set from Spiderman 4. I saw the classroom and camera crew. At first I thought maybe Andrew was in the classroom, but he wasn’t . Darn! Maybe next time?

I'm the best sleuther ever.

Details for the lazy:

- Howell plays a construction worker whose son is in danger during a fight
- Lizard VS Spidey on Manhattan Bridge
- In the beginning of the movie, Spidey is considered a baddie by the people
- Howell's character helps sway the negative opinion on Spidey (near the end of the film), due to Spidey saving his son

That's how Spider-Man should be.:cwink:
Great news!

Here's a link with a transcription:

"There is not a whole lot to talk about. Sony wants us to be hush-hush right now. I play a relatively small role. I play a construction worker who's son is caught in the middle of a battle between the Lizard and Spider-Man on the Manhattan bridge. Spider-Man helps me get my son back from this perilous situation. There is some payback there at the end of the movie. Spider-man is kind of hurting. I help him when all of the other people won't. Part of the story is, the nation thinks he might be a bad guy. They don't know what to think. Because of my experience on the bridge with my kid, I know he is a good guy. I pitch in and help out at the end. That is the best way."

I would have preferred a side on the building fight. I'm tired of bridges.

What about Spidey losing while the bad guy is trying to harm kids and people of NYC fight the villain.:awesome:

Apparently, there IS a sewer scene somewhere in the film. I was browsing through Twitter and some lucky person got to visit the set, and they saw a sewer set or something. The person seemed to know nothing about Spider-Man, so I guess they didn't read too much into it.

We already knew this. Someone said they were doing makeup for SWAT members turning into lizards down in the sewer.

Slag was hoping that they were test subjects Spider-Man finds in the sewers. But that was his speculation/hope.

I think they go into the sewer and get turned into lizard folk. Just puuuhlllleeaaaasssse don't make it stupid.

Thats asking a lot. Did Raimi have to make the symbiote stupid? Did Schumacher have to make Batman and Robin stupid?...and gay? Did Singer have to make Superman Returns stupid?...and boring?

No. They just did. It's a common theme. :oldrazz:

What's interesting is that she said she saw the sewer scene, not the sewer set. So did she see them filming the sewer scene? She must know loads more of details that she's not saying if she saw them film the scene. If she just saw the set, she wouldn't know much, but if she actually saw them filming the scene, who knows what she knows!

Man, so many good points to this.

Spidey being considered a bad guy. LOVE THIS ANGLE! I hope they really play it up and make you feel it. Feel how it effects Peter. I would love to see a scene like where Spidey saves a mother and child from a mugger/rapist.. only to watch in despair as the mother and child (young girl) recoil in fear from their savior (thinking he took out the mugger/rapist cause he wanted them)...

Love the Bridge Battle. Love it.. I can see a night time battle with the Lizard and Spidey on the underbeams/supports of the bridge, going at it. Could be utter greatness, and does not mean we will NOT get a sewer battle too. The Sewer battle should be the first battle, as Spider-Man has to face his fears that *MAYBE* this hoax (of a 8 ft Lizard monster) MAY be true. GREATNESS!!!

I could see the bridge battle being a potential final battle too, see the final battle raging from there to a abandoned building/site where the final portion of the final battle (between Peter and a transforming back Dr. Connors plays out)... could be soooo good... *Geekin Out* at the thought...
