Cable or Satellite?

We don't have Comcast Digital Cable in my area, but if it's anything like Cablevision's iO, go for that. I much prefer it over satellite.

I kind of like the old giant dishes with a motor that can recieve all kinds of crazy international signals, but they're pretty impractical nowadays.

I'd go for satellite anyday. I have it because we don't have the ability to get cable out where I live. *us bein' country folk an' all* But I have friends in the city who have cable and after playing with that for awhile I'm glad I've got satellite.

Cable because if it rains even the slightest bit, the satelite stops working.

That's not true at all. Ours holds up during monsoon season just fine.

DirecTV is good about that. It takes a pretty heavy downpour to knock it out.
