Yes he was in Twilight and he had a flashback role in Deathly Hallows part 1.
I think the show is very good and will be much like Spartacus were the show series out slow but by the end has you hooked. The real difference here and you can see it is that this series is more focused on story and character growth then what Spartacus was. Even though I like this series I still prefer Clive Owen's King Arthur because it was based more off of the historical accounts of King Arthur. This is based more off of the fairy tale or myth that is Arthur while there are documents to support that he was in fact a real person and I think they should have went that way sort of.
Actually there are documents supporting that he was in fact real. However there are also documents which say he was kind of like Robin Hood a mix between a bunch of people. However over the years they have been finding more and more documents of an old English King during the Romain era named Arthur. Now the rest I am sure is made up but Arthur may in fact be a real person.King Arthur was not a real person. He was a combination of about half a dozen monarchs and warlords.
I think the show is taking a much smarter route of setting it a few hundred years after the Romans left and there is some structure of kingdoms and realms between warring factions for Arthur to unite, as opposed to being a Roman who takes over for the dead Empire. t also allows them to be closer to the legend and using characters like Morgan and Merlin.
There is minimal magic in this production and it is set in medieval England, not the fiary tale one created in the 1600s. The problem is that it is kind of slow.
