if you ask me, everybody gets ideas from other ideas
so if indeed that was made in 97 then i still wouldnt care that Cameron stole the look of the movie

Could be a coincidence, it's not impossible for two people to come up with near identical designs. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not sure how into obscure Portuguese comics from the 90's James Cameron is.

^Could just be a coincidence, but the fact that both aliens are blue with long black hair and a vaguely Native American look to them is rather weird, especially since both were created around the same time. If anyone finds out Cameron's into Portuguese comics he'll be in trouble.

mere coincidence. if you look hard and deep enough you'll find something that resembles even the most unique designs that concept artists come up with now-a-days.

It is kind of ridiculous though how so many designs in Halo look almost identical to designs from Aliens.

You guys give Cameron too much credit, like he wrote the bible to movie making or something. You dont have to be a genius to think hmmm maybe we can take war and then put it in space vs aliens. not that unique of an idea.

Um, it's a blue humanoid wearing his hair in a braid. That's...about it. The Na'vi are more humanoid than that, actually.
