Thor and Blake were originally one being. Blake was simply Thor who lost his memory and forced into a human body. When Thor no longer needed the identity the human vessel was discarded(or so he thought). The Blake persona was allowed to continue on as a separate being. So currently Blake and Thor are two souls sharing the same body but originally it was one soul sharing two bodies. Think of the original Thor more like DC's Captain Marvel and then the later Thor as the Marvel Captain Marvel (with rick)
