Can't figure something out in the Marvel Universe

In Winter Soldier, now cancelled, they ended it with Black Widow being working for the bad guys and not dating Bucky.

Now I picked up Avengers vs. X-men and noticed she is back fighting on the good side.

SO what happened? Is there a comic that explains it? Is she still dating Bucky?

Also, Is Winter Soldier no longer a hero or is it just that he doesn't have his own series?

I think you might have missed something. It's been a while since I read it but I remember something along the lines of the Avengers undoing the brainwashing the villains did to her but it caused her memories of Bucky to be lost. They offered to bring Dr Strange in but Bucky wouldn't have any of it, citing being a brainwashing victim himself.

So she's fine now but doesn't remember anything about her history with Bucky.

I really should reread the series since it is so short.

It was the last arc Brubaker did. The Electric Ghost one that followed was by someone else and it was the final arc of the title.

Now Bucky is the new "guy on the wall". For more you'll have to read Original Sin and the new Bucky series that spun out of it. I don't expect it to be long for this world though.

I'm really sad Buck and BW aren't together. The Captain America arc where Bucky was the captain was what got me into comics. While I think Captain America is a better character, Bucky has that redemption story going and I liked that a lot.

Hence why I am loyal to his story line =P

His new series is called Bucky Barnes The Winter Soldier. It takes place after Original Sin which takes place (and is completely unrelated to) AvX.
