Can't people handle a control pad right?

Ok so I have heard from all corners *****ing about some control schemes.

Two complaints bother me in particular.

''ZOMG! RTS CAN'T WORK ON TEH CONSOLE!''

And the

''ZOMG! THE OLD RESIDENT EVIL CONTROLS ARE TEH SUXXORZ!''

First, I will deal with the RE complaints since that series is near and dear to me. I liked RE4, but in my humble opinion, it doesn't come close to the originals. The control scheme IS better, but to be honest, I never found a problem with the old one and don't see how anyone else did. I can only conclude they must really suck at it, because I never had one problem with the old system. I do hope they keep the new one because it's more flexible, but I still think all those who complained about the old one just sucked ass at it. No one complained about it at the time, I know that for sure.

Next, the old ''RTS doesn't work on console controls''. I admit, I have never played an rts on pc, but have played several console RTS games. Aliens vs Predator Extinction, Shattered Union, Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 and Field Commander (for psp no less) among them, and have NEVER had trouble with the controls. I have always got them pretty much instantly and never had any complaints.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I just don't get why some people can't get to grips with basic controls...or maybe I'm just an uber -gamer t:

Oh yes, the original REs were easily better than RE4 in all different ways. It worked MUCH better as a horror game as it was originally. RE4 woulda ruled classic version. But it still succeded in being a VERY good game. I'll welcome it to Resi 5 easily ifthey manage to restore some of what made 1 so gawdamned frightening.

RTS games are FAR easier on the PC.

Maybe so, I have never played them. But I honestly have NO trouble picking up and playing console RTS games either, and don't see why so many people have such a hard time with it.

Play an RTS on a computer. Once you see what you're capable of doing, you'll agree RTS on consoles are difficult.

But the thing is, I don't find them difficult. At all. It may be easier on a PC, but that doesn't mean it's hard...or at least I don't think it is.

If you played RTS on computers first, you'd be used to doing things lightening fast with the hot keys. When you switch to the console, you don't have those so it makes everything 100x harder.
