Which Captain America Helmet do you prefer

I like the chinstrap. It makes him look more...powerful. That probably doesn't make sense. But he just comes off more heroic looking to me with a chinstrap. As dumb as that sounds
:)

Because the chinstrap looks stupid. It looks like a football helmet chinstrap.
Yeah, cause the chinstrap snaps on the helmet just like a football players helmet. You're right actually, it doesn't look like a tactical helmet chinstrap much but football helmet all the way. :whatever:

I like the fact that they finally figured out how to show his ears. I could care less about the chin strap. I was hoping from the early Avengers artwork that they had the ears figured out, but his cowl in Avengers looked rather awkward.

Ears are for stealth missions. He has to hear enemies that are nearby. :o

I hate the chinstrap, but love the exposed ears. *conflicted*

It's not the chinstrap or the exposed/not exposed ears that makes the TFA helmet look good on Evans. It's the shape of the eye opening and shape of the mask on the cheek bone area. It looks good. the TA helmet would of worked quite well with an eye opening and check bone area closer to the TFA version. The new ones seems to be close to the TFA, but more rounded. I think the TFA will still end up looking the best so far.

I dislike the chinstrap, but love the exposed ears now give us the traditional costume.

EXACTLY. My thoughts exactly.

The chinstrap brings out his jaw. I'm not that found of the exposed ears. I mean why would you expose your ears?

I prefer with the chinstrap because it makes his jaw look amazing.

So you can hear better?

I suspect it may be a trade off. You can probably have either a good looking helmet or no-chinstrap, but not both. The reason being that making the helmet look good requires giving it enough substance that it needs a chinstrap to hold in place if you want any kind of stuntwork or mobility to happen.

l don't care for the chinstrap at all. l also don't like the whole agent costume l just wish they would keep the one from avengers.

Chin-strap make his helmet look more complete, me thinks.

I don't really mind either look, but I think with the cowl his ears should have been exposed (I prefer that look). In the movie, it looked good, but then he looked somewhat awkward.

Here is some sample artwork of Cap from the Avengers Assemble animated series. Note it has some design elements from the movie design but also the Ultimate comics with the grey trim in the armpit areas.

Honestly, seeing it onscreen, it didn't look so bad besides the goofy looking mask.
