Cast The JSA

"Courtney Whitmore/ Star-Spangled Kid- Dakota Fanning"

I was thinking the same thing for nights before i came into this thread! 8)

A JSA movie is a smarter choice than a JLA one.
You have a team already established without building it up with risky solo films that could bomb and cancel the project before hitting pre-production.
But... it must be Final Fantasy: TSW CGI style and it should look like an Alex Ross GN.
Casting only for the voices could save a lot of money and avoid wasting time finding a right person who looks exactly like the original character.

i rather go with live action film myself. But though it could probably end up like watchmen were it could be a good film and fans enjoy it. But since most of the usual movie fans dont really know of most jsa guys it could end up not blowing up the BO in theater run.

I'd go for a Kingdom Come story with the motion capture animation and Alex Ross art.

Gary Cole for Jay Garrick:

Love or hate Smallvile, they have some really great casting for the superheroes.

oh totally they are pretty good with most of the casting for dc characters poping into the show.

Well Gary Cole ain't feeling you very much either.

So there.

The JSA film would take place during the 1930s/40s, perhaps a World War II epic.

I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE MAKING OF THIS PIC.
It was made by Wizard Costume Contest winner Kelly Mark Delcambre.

This pic begs the question, Do you want all new "Movie Costumes" or do you want the "Comics Costumes" for a JSA movie?:yay:

With a movie budget, they can easily make the comic JSA costumes look cool.

A lot of the JSA costumes are fabric (GL, Fate, Mid-Nite etc) so it's even easier.

Spandex can be used for the Wildcat costume.

The Hawks are clad in an armor-platted costume.

It's easily workable. The only thing that will likely need some modifications for live action is Jay Garrick's hat.

yea with a 150million+ budget costumes can easily look really good.

I said back in 2007 during the Justice League:Mortal days that WB's best best to do an ensemble film to take on Marvel's Avengers without screwing up the solo films is doing Justice Society of America.

Because it takes place in the 1940s, it's pretty much in it's own movie universe, while the modern Justice League characters can have their solo franchaises.

It's unfortunate that Watchmen got such a lukewarm response. If it was a huge success, it could have encouraged a JSA film to happen.
