The All New State Your Opinion on a DC Character Thread

I like Vampires, I just wish they were f**kin' Vampires. Ugly, demonic beings who burn up in the sunlight.....or charming immortal *****e bags who tear though peoples lives without any idea of how badly they can f**k people up due to a lack of a conscience. (That would be a Cassidy from Preacher reference. :o)

I love vampires when done right, but the problem is, generally speaking, I think people have forgotten how to do them properly. And until they remember how to do that, they need to just give them a rest for a while.

Also: Cass should make an appearance here. Did you use him already, Anubis?

I don't think so.

But then again, I been drinking Moonshine all weekend so my memory's a bit fuzzy.

I hate ^%$ Vampries from Bela Lugosi to the &^%%ing Lost boys!
i hate them almost as much as i hate &^%ing Zombies and Ninjas! if there was a show called *"The walking dead, true blood ninja warriors!" i would kill my plasma screen!

* it would be a game show about undead blood suckers who run an obstacle course for money and prizes each week:woot:
which would be an oxymoron since vampires are already undead to being with!

The Yellow Peri

Never mind.

What a stupid name.

It's, uh, she's... One letter short of a racial slur?

Eh, I've got nothing for this one...

It's always pathetic when someone tries to play a wizard like they're a fighter. :o

Heh.

Yeah, one of the rather s**ty versions of Dr. Fate.

I remember when Doc Strange had the whole "super hero/blue bodied" transformorphed look for a while. I take it this is Doc Fate's wardrobe malfunction answer to that?

I thnk it's probably more representative of 90s comic books in general.

More specifically their asinine tendency to turn longstanding, beloved characters into gun-wielding, leatherclad, pouch enthusiasts.

Awesome character.

First you love him, then you hate him, then you just pity his ass. You know you got a great character when it provokes such emotions over the course of the narrative.

Yeah, you're completely right. Plus, Cassidy's very last scene in the final issue might be one of the most affecting, lovely moments in comics.

People always talk about Ennis' propensity for violence and sex and swearing. And, yeah, there's a lot of it. But no-one ever talks about how good he is at the quieter, emotional stuff, at getting you to care about his characters.

Heh, Arseface.

So Pathetic, you gotta love him.

Geoff Johns will reintroduce her as the leader of the Yellow Peri Corps, swiftly followed by the Red Peri, Blue Peri and Tartan Peri Corps

More Nosferatu less of that Edward from Twillight boo' ****

I love Danny the Street.

How can you not love a sentient, transvestite, street?

Danny is awesome! Just one of the reasons why The Doom Patrol will forever rock!! And that if stupid DC was to ever get their ($&@ straight they would bring them back and never ever cancel them again!

What if the book sucks? You know, like pretty much every other time they brought the DP back since Morrison left the book?

They need to safeguard against that by hiring someone mental. Matt Fraction in Casanova-mode could write the **** out of Doom Patrol.

Sorry, but that guy can't write anything that he didn't create himself. :o
