Why is everyone so insistent on seeing Gambit played by vapid prettyboy actors instead of guys who have genuine charisma?

What 'new movie' are we casting here?

I do think Ian Somerhaulder and James Franco are good Gambit-alikes physically. I can also see why the studio wanted a big name like Josh Holloway from Lost.

SHANE TAYLOR AS GAMBIT!

Since "new movie" is left up for interpretation, I'm going to wager that the next X-Men film will be a restart.

i was pleased with the cast of the 1st trilogy

new characters:
bring back nightcrawler
gambit: matthew fox
magma: kristen bell
avalanche: Josh Duhamel
Psylocke: Devon aoki
Emma frost: ali larter or kate hudson
Scarlet Witch: rachel mcadams
Quicksilver: james marsters
Polaris: Franke Potente

i'd go with who has been cast but re-cast nightcrawler using dominic monaghan . also the guy that plays gambit in the wolverine spinoof to be used here as well.
also viggo mortenson is a good choice for mr. sinister.

^i personally loved the guy that played NC..his voice, his mannerisms, everything was spot on exactly what i would expect of i live action NC

^its really not..Ray's english is much improved over the last few years

Do screen writers copyright their scripts before they submit them to production companies.

he really has, and even if it hadn't he did a good job in Star Wars of a fake American voice, and he's Super Athletic. He'd do better Then Reynolds

^i dontn know about BETTER...but certainly on par with.

Gina Torres for Storm because i feel as though she'd do the role justice. Especially considering her Sci-fi background of roles.

bring back the surviving characters....along with

goodguys:
ryan reynolds/deadpool
josh holloway/gambit (he has aged since XO:W)
kristen bell/magma
devon aoki/psylocke

bad guys:
joseph gordon-levitt/ quicksilver
camilla bell/scarlett witch
lucas black/avalanche
kevin connolly/havok

and if they ever follow the time travel storyline, i think they should cast...

mickey rourke/cable
kristen stewart/rachel summers
i dont know who for bishop
