Cast the STAR WARS Expanded Universe!

As you've seen in these boards, they have casting threads made for the DC Universe and the Marvel Universe.

Well, since SHH doesn't have a section for Star Wars, I thought I'd post a casting thread for the SW Expanded Universe, meaning characters from the Thrawn books, Knights of the Old Republic, Dark Forces, The Clone Wars, etc.


I'd like to see which actors you have in mind for any of the following characters:

I always thought Michael Biehn (Aliens, The Terminator, The Rock, Navy SEALs) would've been a perfect live-action Dash Rendar.

Whenever I read Shadows Of The Empire, I always picture Biehn as Dash. Even when I was a kid and I saw artwork of Dash I immediately thought of how much he resembled Biehn. A shame Biehn probably would never be a live-action Dash, but it'd be cool if he could at least voice him maybe in a cartoon series or animated SOTE movie.

If only We could've even gotten it back in the late 90s. Right now the only way Biehn could play a live-action Dash in anything is if a prequel of sorts set before SOTE and running parallel to the events of ESB (since SOTE picks up right where ESB ends) is made, but I doubt it'll happen.

I'll give it a look. It sounds like it could be a good basis for a new live-action SW film with Dash in it, at least.

It's probably way too late to make a live-action SOTE movie now, especially with the likes of Mark, Carrie, Billy Dee, etc. so much older, but it could probably at least be an animated movie and an official interquel of sorts, just like Batman: Gotham Knight was set in-between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Hemsworth is a little too tall and imposing for Dash Rendar. He's supposed to be a little more stout, he's 5'9. (So am I, which is one reason I wanna cosplay as him).

Galen Marek doesn't need to be recast. I'm sure Sam Witwer would love to play him again. He's already voicing multiple roles in The Clone Wars and would probably leave Being Human to play him in Underworld.

I know. If it weren't for the fanboys, we'd already be on Episode VIII.

I don't buy that. That comment from Lucas was baiting and placing guilt on people who get on his nerve at its finest.

If he wanted to make sequels of the OT he would have regardless of fan criticism seeing as the brand still sells like hot cakes.

Plus we wouldn't of even have gotten different directors for the sequels anyway something I think a lot of people want to see.

Maybe not. But we could've at least had movies based on, say, Knights of the Old Republic or The Force Unleashed.
