So, it's five years after Return of the Jedi. The New Republic has been established and trying to survive the last two years. But the Imperial Remnant still control most of the galaxy, and internal strife makes the struggle even harder.

The Expanded Universe of the books and games is there for you to use. But nothing has happened the way it did in the EU. And it doesn't have to. But you can use it for inspiration. Have a favorite charater? Play them. Want to make up your own? Play them.


A few facts to keep in mind:

The only Jedi to survive Vader's purge are Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, and Yoda. So now only Luke and Leia remain. You can't play any Jedi from before the Purge. But if you want to play of Force sensitive, perhaps even become one of Luke's students, that's fine...

The Imperial Remnant still controls about 2/3 of the galaxy, but it's mostly mid and outer rim systems. The New Republic controls the core systems and remaining mid and outer rim...

Ever since Grand Admiral Thrawn has taken control of Imperial forces, they've stopped losing territory to the 'Rebel Scum'. Making him a decisive, yet mysterious threat...

Wedge Antilles, fed up with the horrible job his commanding officer is making of handling Rogue Squadron, has put his career on the line to prove he can build a better team...

Boba Fett is back. But the bounty hunters have created a guild while he was gone. This does not please the Fett...

Jabba's son is trying to take his organization straight and leave the criminal activities behind. This is not going over well...

Political tension within the Republic's Provisional Council is making progress difficult. Especially between Ackbar and Borsk Fey'lya, where one is pushing to establish a solid foundation for the Republic, while the other is ensuring his position within the new government, and perceives the rise of a new Jedi Order as a serious threat...

The 501st is still the best Legion of troops in the Empire...

Hmm, I gave this a go when it first started but without egular established Jedis it just seemed a little empty. If this was set in the middle of the Clone Wars or whatever, I'd be much more interested... Alas, It'll probably never happen

How far developed is the Jedi school, wieg? Because that's why I backed out originally. I wanted my char introduced with the school already in continuity for a while.

Well, because the game slowed down, Luke's got one student right now. We're currently on a mission to Felucia on the trail of an old Jedi Master. But we're getting some 'dark' feelings about the place.

Want to be a bounty hunter? How about the Fett man himself (who is currently forced to team up with Bossk against the new Bounty Hunters guild)...

Rogue Squadron's out there, waiting for a leader and to be let loose on some Imperials...

Play politics in the New Republic as Leia tries to convince new systems to turn against the still powerful, still scary Empire. Be Ackbar, dealing with pressures internal and external. Or be Borsk Fey'lya, fighting for what you think is best for the Republic, which doesn't necessarily include as Jedi Order...

Got a favorite character from the books or games, bring them over from the Extended Universe...

Or, create your own character. Put your own unique stamp on the galaxy.

Given that this is post-ROTJ, I'm going to go ahead and guess that the Sith are extinct.

Because I can tell you right now, my two favorite SW characters both start with 'Darth'.

yeah...think of this as sort of an Ultimate EU. We're allowing sith and other dark side users.

We even allow completely original characters.

I agree. One of the best SW stories ever with one of the greatest villains in all of scifi lit. Really wish they would've made that into a movie series instead of the Prequels.

I'm currently playing a Sith who plans on starting a Sith Academy ala Revan from Knights of the Old Republic. He could use a rival. Or an apprentice. Or an apprentice who happens to be a rival.
