Casting Green Arrow

Ryan Reynolds would make a perfect Wally West. I wouldnt want to let him go to play anyone else even if he would be excellent choice for DP or GA. I'd go older with GA since the super hero origin story is played out. Super Max sounds way better and I still hope to see him as a supporting character in a GL movie. I've always said Denis Leary but he is much older than I realized (early 50s). But I still think he can pull it off. Rescue Me seems like a physically demanding show.

They'd cast an older GA given the plot of SuperMax. Ollie has always been an older superhero, for the most part. Reynolds looks alright but I'm pretty sure that he's been suggested in every single superhero casting possible by now. I like the suggestion of Ewan McGreggor and Josh Brolin as Ollie though.

While the project is far from a go and is very likely to get axed by the Writer's strike...the only actor I've heard in connection with the role is Matt Damon.

At first I thought that was a horrible choice but when you consider he'll be in prison, no costume and no beard...it kinda works. Especially after the Bourne movies!

Its not about age with me. Costner would just be a bad Green Arrow. Sure hes got the look, but hes not loud enough. I like him better as a guy who doesnt say much but when he does its good like in Open Range

I agree with Stormin. Though I must say, I have pondered ideas of Carey Elwes playing Green Arrow, though he doesn't do too much. Which might not even be a bad thing if he isn't that recognizable, maybe not a lot of people would make the connection. I have wondered for days who I could see playing Ollie. The one I have though of now, I cant see anyone else play him. For me it matched up pretty well, better than Tom Cruise playing Tony Stark.

Id like everyone to remember Fight Club, Oceans 11,12,13 and Mr and Mrs Smith, If you think about that each of those rolls, they all had parts of Ollie. Durden was a radical socialist who wanted to bring corrupt business down, Oceans 11 he was the experienced smart-ass hot shot, 12 they really made him out to be a man-****e. Mr and Mrs Smith he had a lot of action, and maintained his smart ass persona through out, and to even up the anti played opposite a strong female heroin (much like Black Canary to an extent, granted its not a direct lift, but enough to justify my point)

Therefore I nominate Brad Pitt for consideration as the character of Oliver Queen, the Emerald Archer, GREEN ARROW

I could see him playing him, but would Brad want to do it. I say yes, I think he would be hyped to play green Arrow. He just looks like the type of guy who would actually want the role.

I like Pitt, hes a great actor. I just have a hard time seeing him in the role.

Green Arrow though the absolute perfect choice is Dennis leary and I can see him doing it too
