If their is a Justice League film...Who should take the final spot
Green Arrow or Aquaman?

Problems with Aquaman
Hes Corny

Problems with Green Arrow
Him being there takes away the fact that Batman is the only non powered hero

I'm fine with either but I'm wondering what others think

Aquaman... For a lot of reasons but the one that comes to mind first is because he was so unceremoniously dicked out of the Timm cartoons.

The big seven should be the line up for the JLA movie.

Aquaman for JL....

But, GA for a solo movie, by far.

Aquaman cuz he was one of the original, founding 7 JLAers. :D

GA should get the solo movie first though.

Playing Devil's Advocate:
But even though he was one of the originals, since hes the target of a huge amount of jokes, should he be in the film

All the more reason to put him in. It'll either redeem the character (my personal hope) or provide comic relief (worst case scenario).

I had to vote Aquaman, rather see him in a JL movie than his own individual movie,

his powers etc well, are pretty self explanitory, and i think would be awesome to see a team-up between him and the other heroes, cause i mean lets face it JL will just be a huge CGI-effect movie anyways...

where as GA, I feel could have a deeper more deserving character story line that doesn't have as many CGI effects

I'd be ok with this. If WB really wanted to keep the Nolan Batman seperate from all the other DC heroes, Green Arrow can take Batman's place and the film can really focus on Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.

And the key to making a solo Green Arrow movie, is making it more Robin Hood and less Batman.

I think (and this is one of my rare opinions) that Aquaman has more potential than Green Arrow. The film could be made on the level of a "Waterworld" and could spin off into a franchise in theme parks and maybe even Broadway not to mention novels. I have also mentioned that the plot could place some emphasis on a rivalry between brothers (similar to the novel and television miniseries "Rich Man Poor Man") to make it a more interesting story. It could work, but they will need to place a couple of A-list actors in the lead and supporting roles. Now don't get me wrong, a Green Arrow film could work as well. It's just that the character might not be as big a draw as Aquaman could be.

What powers does Aquaman have that are self explanatory? His powers has been varied over the years, he isn't just a Namor clone.

Which would be a let-down. The property has more depth to it then that.

Agreed.

Although I'd rather see Green Arrow because he is a favorite character of mine, I agree. Aquaman could be fairly epic if done right, and it should be about two rival brothers.

Problems with Aquaman
Hes Corny

1. Your nuts.

Playing Devil's Advocate:
But even though he was one of the originals, since hes the target of a huge amount of jokes, should he be in the film

2. Have you even read any of Aquaman? I mean, seriously.

Looks like Aquaman is winning by a landslide.

I'm confused here....

Aquaman WAS in the JLU cartoons.

It was the incarnation with the hook. (albeit not my favourite version but he was a part of it)

What powers does Aquaman have that are self explanatory? His powers has been varied over the years, he isn't just a Namor clone.

Yes and no to the clone statment, yes Namor was created first then Aquaman, they are both proclaimed Kings of Atlantis, both can breath in and out of water.
The powers are different though, Namor can't talk to fish, and he isn't that fast. Aquaman is actually the third fastest member of the JLA on land (Flash, Superman) and Aquaman (I belive Namor as well) skin is near bullet proof, plus Aquaman does have super strength.

So I voted for Aquaman only because he is one of the originally seven

Aquaman, because he needs it more. I'd like to see him get in a more positive light, nowadays, he's about the biggest joke of the super hero squad. But they need to get the more hardened version and not the superfriend version at all.

With a good portion of people, whatever the film/tv media of the character is normally sticks.

The animated branch has done a very good job updating the character for the modern age. Thanks to that the next generation won't consider him a joke.

It sticks because unless they're actually fans of the originals they'll take the nearest mainstream version, no matter how wrong, since doing actual research for comic books is still considered kids stuff IMO. :csad:

Green Arrow seems infinitely more interesting of a character than does Aquaman.

I said Aquaman not onle because he's part of the original 7 and I veiw that he is much more than the king of Atlantis and talk to fish and breathing underwater and the JL Movie can do a combo of the Smallville A.C., STAS/JL/JLU Aquaman, Batman Brave and Bold Aquaman, Silver Age/Modern Age Aquaman/Orin, Justice/Secret Origins/Liberty and Justice Aquaman, Justice League Post OYL Athur Joseph Curry Aquman, and other version of Aquman. He could show him using superstrength against a supervillian, or superspeed in the water and then take down or a dangervillian in the sea in a really awsome manner that will leave the moviegoers near breathless
