Cat survives being shot in head with arrow

Cats have a considerable amount of space between their skin and the underlying tissue, even on their head (trust me I know, there's been more than a few cats that I thought I had scruffed appropriately that were able to turn in their skin and bite me). Since the report stated that the arrow wasn't metal, it probably just pierced the skin, but not the skull and just lay on top of the bone. From there, the surgery and recovery is relatively simple. It's an ugly injury, not a serious one.

Though I hope someone finds the person responsible and puts an arrow in them.

Is there anyway we can change the thread title to "Cat[woman] survives being shot in head with [boxing glove] arrow?"

I'd like to find that person and accidentally trip that person, which in turns lead them falling through a big glass window, and thus gets decapped. In which I can say...

Looks like he be a headless horseman for Halloween this year.

I hate scumbags who target roaming domestic pets for their sick psycho kicks. They should get involuntary genital piercings, then get a taser to the nut's.

I agree, but it's also a bad idea to let your pets roam about. Aside from people who'll deliberately do cruel things to them, there's also traffic and wild animals that can endanger them.

Keep your housecats as housecats.

The government needs to make animal cruelty a felony instead of a misdemeanor. As long as these people are going to get a simple slap on the wrist, they're going to keep doing it.

So, I wonder if he....*takes of sunglasses*.....got the point.

"YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

I know there wasn't a point on the arrow...I just couldn't think of anything else.:o

Well...I think....*puts on sunglasses* ...we all get the point...

When I was about 6 years old, I had a cat. A neighbor shot it with an arrow. The arrow entered in the cat's anus, traveled under the spine and the tip pierced the base of his brain. We found him at our back door like that (he, still alive, had crawled home). Taking him to the vet, they said there was no way he'd survive, that it was hopeless to do surgery. Well, after putting him down, we were leaving the vets and a nurse came running up to us, saying we killed our cat for nothing; it turns out he could have survived. I've never seen my dad so mad (and ready to punch a teenage girl).

Oh, and the guy who shot him? In court, his excuse was that Bucky was "in the way of his target and that he didnt notice". He got a few months in jail, but that was it. After wards, he'd drive by our house and hang out the window and just laugh.

There are some really ****** people in the world, including those in my own profession (like the nurse you mentioned).
