Hey all Catwoman fans,
I promised you guys a script some time ago. However, as most things go, the idea kind of fell flat, but I haven't forgotten about it. I'm sorry I haven't logged in, but I have completed the opening scene to MY "movie," so here it is. Please do not copy this or attempt to "steal" my idea. I know, I know -- I just had to get that out of the way. This is written in really bad screenplay format (I only have a word processing program, so I made the best of it). It's supposed to be the start of an origin story and yes, if I feel up to it, she is going to battle a MALE villain. If you like it, I'll continue. If not, then at least I tried. Feedback is appreciated.
 FADE IN:
FLASHBACK -
EXT. A CEMETERY - DAY
HEAVY RAIN falls on the ground and THUNDER CRASHES.
The sky fills with dark, rolling clouds.
A man and two young girls dressed in black stand in front of a
closed casket as a priest recites bible passages.
SELINA (V.O.)
A long time ago, before I put on this mask I was
afraid of everything.
One of the girls, holding a red rose, steps in front of the
casket and looks down.
SELINA (V.O.)
I let the fear control me.
The girl looks back at the man, who pulls a silver alcohol flask
out of his left coat pocket and takes a swig.
She looks back at the casket and walks forward.
SELINA (V.O.)
At night, when I got afraid of the dark, my
mother would look down at me, lean forward
and say: Were not in control...
Tears fall from the girls eyes.
SELINA (V.O.)
Then, shed smile and say: Every now and then
life likes to reiterate that little point.
Half the time, I wasnt sure if she was ever
really there, but that was my mother.
The girl throws the rose into the air.
The pedals break away and cascade onto the closed casket with the
rest of the rose not far behind.
SELINA (V.O.)
Shes dead now, but I dont need her. I dont
need anyone.
The girl backs away and grabs the mans hand.
As the three of them walk away hand in hand, the girl looks back.
SELINA (V.O.)
This is my life. Its not about
controlling the fear, its letting it
drive you.
END FLASHBACK.
