for anyone that has read the book i have a few questions:

did you like the ending?

how did clay not get blasted by the phoner signal if he calls the bomb in the bus? i never understood that part

I read this almost 2 years ago, so I don't remember it that well..

Did he put his ear to the phone?

My favorite part was the entire opening. From the beginning to around when they go into the hotel. The initial outbreak was written very well.

he didnt put the phone to his ear, but pixie light (who was listening i guess) still got a shot of it, and screwed her up.

the beginning was very good, every stephen king book (in my opinion) takes a while to kick in. this one only took 7 pages. the first time i read it i didnt see anyone on the streets for probably 6 hours. it was creepy. this is the 5th time ive read it. im done now.

i read eli roth wants to make this a movie. i would pay for that. if he doesnt make it when i am a director i definitely will make it.

I thought it was alright. I do love King books, but I felt this one fell apart towards the end - but I do find that with a lot of King books.

Zero Vault, it's obvious to me that you have a great passionate love for king after the thread I read yesterday.

Ever since I read that book, when I see someone on the phone I think "Can I take him if he goes Zombie?" and if I can't I plan my escape route. This book scarred me

I give it a B-. It wasn't the very end that bothered me as much as the last 1/4 of the book. He had a great story going then it seemed like decided to differentiate it from other zombie stories by having them do outlandish things. That is when the book lost some coherence.
My favorite part was the initial unraveling of humanity when it was hit by the pulse. He painted a grisly picture as only the master could do.

I liked Cell, especially the first part. But then I felt it shifted gears, and thats where it loses points. Regardless, I still like the book. It certainlly gave a frightening scenario with technology and humanity.

That's how I feel too. It just felt like King didn't really know how to end it. He didn't want a happy ending, but didn't want a completely depressing one either.

It's strange that it's my favourite because I don't normally like the first person, and that's the only one that comes to mind that he written in that way - novel-wise.

I feel that the book with the s*** weasels was his worst book. Can't be bothered to remember the title. Makes me wish I had two more hands... so I could give it 4 THUMBS DOWN!

I liked IT too. I'm halfway through The Stand, but once I've read that I've got a collection of Lovecraft to read . . . then I think I'll read IT again

I really liked this book, gave a very good twist on the whole zombie thing and definately worth a read. One part I hated was when Alice died, it was so unexpected and I really liked the character, the way she died was very saddening.

I loved the lack of setup. King always has like 100 pages of set up before anything happens, it was fresh and nice that it just slammed you right into it.
