Chapter 18 - "Like Any Parasite" - Clip(s) & Discussion

O yeah, tha's what I'm looking forward to in episode 19. I hope we see Hiro use the sword in action while also using his powers. As for the other Heroes having an item for there powers, we have yet to see some neeing one. But what about the Haitian? He has that necklace with the symbol on it. Maybe it helps him with his power?
What about Nikki? She needs SERIOUS help with her seperate personality.

i'm still a bit confused as to why nathan wanted to kill linderman and vice versa. then all of a sudden, linderman doesn't want to kill him anymore? or why the fbi wanted to take linderman down? or how they knew to ask nathan for that? can someone run the whole siatuation by me again, please? thanks

^^me too i'm always missing important things like that. i guess i just get caught up in the action and not the lines

Well, Nathan wants revenge for the car accident that left his wife in a wheelchair. I guess Linderman doesn't want to kill him yet, as he is using him to gain political power. The FBI wants Linderman because he is a head of organized crime.

I hope we see more of Linderman. I'm watching the ep again on Sci-Fi and we was just great.

Well I think Nathan was trying to bring Linderman down for awhile I think part of the deal was that he felt Linderman may have been responsible for what happened to his father. Having the season split up so much I forget exactly what was said by Nathan but it seemed to me that was kind of the way it went. While he was still a DA, before he went into politics, he was looking to try and bring Linderman down.

Nathan going to LInderman for financial backing for his campaign was part of a sting to bring Linderman down.

This was a good episode. I enjoyed Malcolm McDowell's appearance as Linderman. I'm wondering if he does, or does not have a power, though. The way he was talking to Nathan suggested that he might. Candice...the "illusionist" working for The Company, is interesting. As a character, and her power, she may have a lot of potential. The Ms. Petrelli revelation however, does raise an eyebrow. Overall, looking forward to the show's return. Despite having yet another hiatus.

Why does everyone keep saying the new girl is a shapeshifter? I think she creates illusions. Watch the scene in Isaac's workplace. Before she "turns" into Candice you can't see Simone on the bed but after the illusion's gone you can see Simone on the bed again. That's an illusion she created isn't? Isaac would clearly see 2 Simones if she only shapeshifted.

Maybe she's able to manipulate Sheldrake's Morphogenic Fields...

Don't tease me with Mohinder's death, just do it. I thought it was really sweet how Claire wanted to find Peter and ended up finding his mother. I really thought Isaac needed a line or two when Candace left the apartment, something like - **** you *****, I can paint the future, you're nothing but another liar. Something like that, edited for tv of course. But no, all that self loathing and doubt wells up and its back to the needle. Hiro as usual was a highlight, great to see Ando again, the jumping to the apocalypse future was quite unexpected, a good visual reminder of Hiro's mission. Lindermann is Malcom McDowell, hello I'm a British person, excuse me while a make a pot pie, fancy a pint? Sigh.

I want to see Peter kick some Sylar ass goddamn it!

Interesting point, that'd be a hell of a twist! What if Candice is actually someone else, like Mama Petrelli for example, concealing her identity by posing as Candice-the-illusionist...except Candice is an illusion! (<-That was confusing, I know.) I don't think this will happen, but this power opens up ALL KINDS of possibilities.

Or maybe she's!!
DA DUM DUUUUMMM!!!
...... ...... ...... I... I don't know...

Nathan when he talks to the FBI at the beginning says he went to them for help taking down Lindermann

I dont think Candice will turn out to be someone else that would be hard as hell to keep up
Especially going from one illusion (being Candice) to another illusion (being Simone) then back to the first illusion would be very difficult
Sooner or later Candice would disappear or be discovered as the true illusionist when she just got too tired to keep up the illusion
I think Candice is Candice plain and simple
Acting truly as the assumed person would be very difficult

watching a rerun now...Sylar calls Issac but the line is busy. says, "i'll get him later." ha! missed that the first time.
