Chat Room Question

My cousin entered into an adult chat room because someone he met online told him to log in into it. He got asked his credit card number for age verification without any charge but still is skeptical about putting that info and appearing in his track record or something since his dad checks it once it arrives.
I think is just a scam and this person he met is just persuading him into logging but I don't really know, so I come to you. What do you guys think?

All my life, I had to fight for my porn! I'm a former WebTV owner. I had to pull myself up from the gutter of web browsers to find boobs. I couldn't play any video file other than an MPEG, and I lost that capability when they gave us non-video MSN Chat! There was no hard drive and no mouse to right-click with, so I had to find websites with thumbnail images just so I could bookmark stuff! My local cable provider didn't even have the scrambled channels where you could make out a boob by staring at the screen Magic Eye style! I had to go to museums and take pictures of nude paintings and statues!

But NOT ONCE have I ever given up my credit card number! I'd sooner kill my internet service dead than pay for porn!
