Its no different from reading comics though. Like if you root for the anti-regs in Civil War even though the event is already pre-determined.

yes, you are right about that. except many wrestling fan's i've run across have a hard time looking at there "hero" as anything but what they see on the screen. It's like if a comic character was brought to life, and unlike the movies we get, are played by a person who does nothing but ALWAYS play that role. We look at tobey maguire and see him in other movies, so it's easy to know he's not peter parker. Wrestlers are similar to this, but they always play that one person. And people just can't seem to understand that at times.

chris benoit was a great wrestler. he was a legend in my book. But i've lost a great amount of respect for him as a human being. I don't miss him.

Oh yeah. I know that. Just look at Lex Luger. Ofcourse I know they're just playing a roll. But it doesn't stop me from getting into it when watching it on t.v. or live. But yes, I agree, we all should know that there is a difference between the character they play on t.v. and who they are in real life.

Though one thing you are wrong about is believing wrestling is fake. Yes its pre-determined and the punches are pulled, but faking 6 foot falls from a steel cage onto another man, taking a fall on solid concrete, lifting up a 300 lb man(even if they're loosening their weight to assist you) is no easy task. And its definately something you can't fake. These guys are basically stuntmen who perform a story for us. And they take risk of breaking their bones with everything they do. Its why they say kids shouldn't do this at home.

uh...wrestlers change gimmicks all the time...that's how Undertaker went from a zombie to a satanic cult leader to a biker back to a zombie...or Rob Conway went from canadian guy who hates america to a Buff Bagwell rip off...or Kane went from being horribly scarred to just ugly...

sadly you get that with every kind of fandom, the thing is that that minority rarely speaks for or is in the same state of views of the majority

never said it was easy.. falls and accidents happen, and many do things on the same level as the "jackass" guys, but there also trained stunt men who try to not get hurt but put on the best show they can. the match itself isn't real, but the accidents, trained abilities, and occasional pain is

ya, but there still playing a part... thats my point. i dunno maybe its growing up in the midwest thing for me.. but i've ran into alot of wrestling fans who are idiots and honestly can't tell the difference, i know all arn't that way but those who are need to learn. which is my point.

correct, the majority or those who "stand out the most" are always the ones who set the tones for a group.

yeah...even the panel there seems to be like "WTF is this guys problem?"...

Theres always pain. If you're ever on Netflix rent the series called Tough Enogh. On there they talk about how worn out the sport leaves them and all the bruises they get from practicing the sport on a regular basis.
Infact, throw yourself around on one of those matts they have in dojos. No matter how well you fall its going to leave some pain and bruises. I've taken judo before and I know. They teachyou how to fall properly in that sport too, but falling properly is taught so that you won't recieve any serious injuries. It won't stop you from hurting physically, getting a headache, or getting tired out. Like I said you can't fake a fall. Gravity won't let you.

A man that murders a 7 year old kid is a dirtball in my book, no matter what his past accomplishments are

and i respect that. actors go through the same things while filming movies. What i'm saying is though, they put on a good show. thats there purpose and i don't disrespect them for that, but the the match is not real like a reg sporting event where the people try to win rather then put on a good act. Thats the difference
