Chris Benoit Dead

Yeah, makes me think it was some kind of poisoning.

Alright if the kid and wife had food poisoning, fine. But what causes Benoit's death then? The food poisoning story doesn't seem to fit. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a murder-suicide. People get so shocked about this kind of thing, but we have to realize that we don't know what the guy is really like.

We see him wrestle but we don't know what is really going on. And if you're watching the tribute, his fellow wrestlers even say the guy was just really quiet and private and the thing that got me thinking was when I think Malenko said "Even when things all around Chris were falling apart, you couldn't tell if you looked at him." Regal's comments I think were the best so far. He was smart, didn't know all the details, kept it professional.

I hope it isn't what it looks like.

You and me both man.

Aww man, Im not a wrestling fan now, but like 7 years ago during my wrestling phase, Benoit was my man. :(

Apparently FOX and ESPN are both reporting that it's being investigated as homocide.

This is gonna sound horrible but if it was a murder-suicide then who was what?

Unfortunately, all we can do now is speculate. However, I truly hope, if anything else, that when they passed on, it wasn't painful.

Oh snap, just saw this thread. :csad:

My brothers aren't gonna be happy about this.

wow this sucks i always remember him not having a tooth in the front and whenever he did interviews, it was funny lol. RIP:csad:

This sucks..I stopped watching wrestling ever since The Rock left but damn.. I think I used to watch him back in those days though..:O
Seeing that arena so empty is kinda eerie.

I'm a former wrestling fan who tuned into RAW for a couple laughs and discovered what happened. Benoit was always one of my favorites. The reason I stopped watching wrestling was because of the nonsense it focuses on now instead of the sport itself. Benoit was one of those wrestlers who always focused on the sport. He was always one of those you listed when you were talking about those who wrestled the way wrestling should be. He was exciting and fresh, but also very old school and technically skilled. I can't believe he was killed. It seems like all the good ones are. Eddie Guerrero passed away in November 2005, as well. I know that was a year and a half ago; but when two deaths that devestating happen in less than two years, it's just unbelievable. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit were two of the greatest wrestlers of our time. I'll bet they're already having a match up there. ;) God rest their souls, and God be with their loved ones.

I posted this on the wrestling forum and wanted to post it in this thread too.

You know, the death of Benoit should put things in perspective for all of us as a human race. We all want to sit around and piss, moan, and ***** about our own selfish issues and forgetting that somebody didn't wake up today.

As each day passes there is someone who didn't wake up and we should remember this. There's nothing that angers me more than to see people I know, family members, and so forth just complain, complain, and complain about their problems and completely ignoring the fact that there is someone who is missing, there is a family who is grieving, and there is someone who is sitting in a wheelchair with an incurable disease.

I'm sorry if this seems a bit far fetched and everything, but Benoit's untimely passing has given me a new perspective and I'm going to live my life knowing that it's a gift and that I will not be *****ing, pissing, and moaning over some minor issues that aren't a big deal at all.

Rest in Peace Benoit. Thank you for the memories, thank you for the great matches, and thank you for the motivation in helping me try to be the best at what I intend to do. Thank you once again.

Too true.

I was thinking more along the lines of some kind of airborne thing.

Like we'd ever find out.

This sucks. :(

R.I.P Chris, as a wrestling fan I can say you were one of the best mat wrestlers we've ever seen step into the ring. You'll be missed, but you've left an impact that will last a lifetime.

Shouldn't really be that hard to find out what happened.

Gotta contact his remaining family to find out exactly what details they want released.

I'm pretty sure if it was a homicide, the remaining family can't do anything for that information to be withheld.

I hate autopsies. There's finality in them, not just in the cause of death but in the fact that it occured in the first place. Hopefully this isn't so obscure that it becomes an unsolved case.

rest in peace benoit

he IS wolverine, screw hugh jackman, benoit is wolverine
