And if he turns out to be the one that did it which is most likely true, they'll lose alot of viewership because they've already paid tribute to a murderer.

What could they have done? Just not have a tribute show because they wanted to wait for evidence? Then they could've potentially lost a lot of viewership as well because they didn't do something like that.

WWE did what they did because that's what they felt was "right" at the time....

I don't think WWE will lose viewership, now you're just being ridonkulous.

Owen Hart fell to his death in the middle of the ring, live on PPV, and they continued the show. If they didn't lose viewership over that, they won't lose any by paying tribute to Benoit when the cause of death was totally unknown.

I have a feeling the news on this is gonna get worse and worse..."50 bodies found in Chris Benoit's basement, ties to 9/11 found. Also, evidence that he was in fact tied to the Kennedy assassination, and was also Jack The Ripper"...

...and that's what I worry about. as time goes on, things will start to come out. will the person we all respected and cheer turn out to be some monster?

Good point.

We still don't know. Investigating a theory does not equal guilty. Cops get suspects and theories wrong all the time, and they always start with the men in any case.

now THAT would be something......

dont expect to ever hear about it if he IS the killer:cwink:

Now we have evidence that points to his implication. People love to come to conclusions without it. But, with that said, it only makes it worse to learn in the midst of this that the man the public adored may be the catalyst behind this.

I just wish they would reveal what these "instruments" were.
When things make sense. It's ok to suspect and debate over your suspicion. The police do it all the time as it's their jobs. Why can't we?

No, if he does end up being the killer WWE won't ever say anything about it, but it will still be all over the news (wrestling news sites and national included)

Do you people seriously think some of the viewer to still tune in when they've paid tribute to a murderer because they jumped a bone just to tribute one of their greats? WWE will take a dip from this. Will it end? No, but it's definitely going to loose people because they didn't wait if it turns out he is the killer.

Honestly....that doesn't even make sense.

Heh Heh. Even if there is a big drop off in viewership what does it matter? It's not going to happen anyway, if anything it will peak interest.

WWE won't be effected if he was...they didn't know.

I think what they did was the right thing. They were in a bind. People knew about it, and to do nothing would be wrong because they don't know, and really still don't know for sure (though I think its pretty obvious Benoit did it) if Benoit was involved in killing his family. Like I said, William Regal took the best approach out of all the wrestlers asked to give their thoughts on Benoit. ****, Chavo said he would trust him with his kids, he may want to re think that.

Wrestling fans are an odd bunch though. i'm fairly sure if a fairly popular wrestler chainsawed someone to death on YouTube, there would be that one fan wearing his t-shirt and saying that it wasn't him...it was the devil
